I have just stated playing $200NL over at Cake and this is highest level I have ever played. I realaize there are a few new skills I am gonna have to learn and get involved in more marginal situations.
Read:
Not much of a read. I have only been at table for about 10 minutes,
Stacks:
Hero: $225 (MP)
Villan: $380 (OTB)
Hand:
I get [Ah] and open raise to $10 and Villans calls $10 OTB and its heads up.
flop: [3d][4h] $23.50
Hero bets $20, Villan Calls $20
turn: $63.50
Hero Checks, Villan bets $45, Hero calls $45
river:[8c] $153.50
Hero Checks, Villan checks
Analysis:
The flop looked like a good flop to float. The only real draw is a GS, or a 56 so not really too much to worry about. On turn I decided that I would check as any floater would fold and I dont want to get in a situation where he may raise me and represent JT. So I just check-called. Then on river is an obvious check and i was gonna call a decent amount if bet, Thoughts?
I know this is a basic hand, But know ing I had some right ideas here would help me alot!
