I'm down. If we do it let's do it on Stars. It's easy to set up and run private tournies there, and I like the format better (at least compared to Party, only other place I've ever played a MTT).

As far as your concern goes tetsuo, I don't know why you are concerned with other people finding out your handle..unless you are afraid people will start stalking you, but then again there is always the handy "hide me from search" feature. :wink:

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.

Dont mean to be a pain, but I haven't transferred money to Stars and didn't want to since it was a pain to get it into Party (I don't have neteller or anything like that). If we do this on stars, could someone transfer the money into my account and then I "lose" it to you on party? I would like to participate and get my ass kicked by all you ringers.

I agree with low dough. I think 10+1 or $5 +.50 would be good.

Cool, but I don't think anything has been set up yet. Anyone set up a private tourney on stars before? After 6pm ET would be best for me.

I haven't, although I will definitely look into it now.

So what we have so far that is the best fit for most folks is

* PokerStars
* $5 + .50 (for starters)
* 6pm+ EST

Because of the time differences between the UK and the US (and the East and West coasts in the US), I suggest we have it on a Friday or Saturday night...

Otherwise us UK bods will be sleep deprived at work the next day...

Any other parameters?

Saturday night is better then Friday 10 PM + EST. But whenever it works out I will do my best to be there.

I'm set up for organizing private tournies on Stars now.

It'll be "standard structure", 1500 starting chips and 15 minute rounds, with the same structure as a sit and go event.

* PokerStars
* NLHE
* $5 + .50
* 10pm EST

Saturday seems to be the favored day of the week, but since this is the holiday time of year perhaps another day would do?

Otherwise, this weekend is Christmas Day and the next one is New Year's. Not so many people gonna be attending the first BTP "Showdown at the Stars" on those dates...

All suggestions welcome!

Any day except for Xmas eve, xmas, New years eve is good for me. Weeknights actually work better for me as I might not be able to make the friday or saturday after new years either.

Since of the time of the year, we might just have to wait til the new year. We might just have to set a time and whoever can make it shows up. If we try to work around EVERYONE'S schedule, we will never have one. I would say you just have to set a time that is likely to be good for most people and just go with it. Anyone that can't make it, will have to try and make the next one. If this is popular, we can start doing them more frequently, like once a month or more.

I'd prefer it be on a weeknight as well. Just wanted to add my feedback. No need to attempt to please everyone so if this one is scheduled for a weekend, I won't be heartbroken. Maybe one of the future tourneys could be scheduled for a weekday.

hey i am in. absolute poker is very friendly to private tourneys, have awesome initial deposit bonuses, and frequent reload bonuses. btp should become an affiliate. i have not noticed a banner for them here, but i may have missed it.

Since I know I can not hold my owe against some of the pros-semi pros on this site I will just veiw the entry fee as tuition :). I know Stars and UB both can run private events.
