Opponent is a LAG. Plays about 50% of his hands and raises about half of those preflop. He's pretty aggressive post flop but not a maniac.

CO limps, Villain miniraises on the button. I call with T8s. A bit loose but it's just 1.5bb and I expect a multiway pot. BB and limpers calls as well.

Flop comes T63 with a spade draw (I have clubs).

I check and it is checked around.

Turn is a 9. I lead for $25, Villain is the only caller.

River is a 2 and I check, Villain bets $40 into $82.

Opponent is at 45/14 and is pretty passive on the flop and turn but has a high river aggression.

Villain opens for a miniraise OTB and I re-raise to $25 with AJ out of the SB, he calls.

Flop comes KQ6 rainbow. I bet $45 and he flat calls.

Turn is a 7 and goes check/check.

River is a 4 completing the rainbow, I check and he bets $24 into $148.

Opponent is about 35/10 but I don't have a huge sample. Aggressive but not crazy post flop.

I raise to $15 UTG with 22. Villain is the only caller, from the BB.

Flop comes 957 with a flush draw. He checks and I bet $25, he calls.

Turn is another 5 and goes check/check.

River is an off suit 3 and he leads for $50 into $82.

Why no vote for a raise to say $100 in 2?

My first thought was he either has a monster or a weak made hand. He will lay down the weak made hand to a CR to $100+ almost all the time. There is $172 in the pot now, a call will cost you $24. The CR will make him lay down anything you would call and beat anyway so when comparing the CR to a flat call it's a question of how often that exta $76 gets him to fold out something that beats you.

I would say at least 40% of the time - making the CR the best choice IMHO and better than folding too.

Hand 1 I call, Hand 3 I fold without an insane read - I'm not sure 22 even counts as abluff catcher here - he could easily think he's bluffing and stil have me beaten by accident.

I agree that a raise is the better choice in hand #2 and I would have made it if I had anything worse than Ace high for sure. I should have done it here and I hope I would if I had been playing my A game.
