I think the ironic thing is that if I had raised and we somehow got to to the river without going all in he would not have put me on the flush and would have shoved. As it is I just called, checked the turn and only came out betting when I hit my flush which looked very suspicious. If I had raised he could have put me on AQ I guess but I didn't...
Had a similar hand today btw.
I was in BB, folded round to SB who was 17/10/3. He raised to $3, I reraised to $9 with
and he called. Flop came
so I bet out $12.50 into an $18 pot, he reraised to $30 so I shoved for $65 more and he folded. Do you think this was acceptable? Should I maybe have raised instead of shoved, or even just flat called?
I figured he could have had nothing and was trying to represent something when the A hit but picked a bad time, but more likely was that he had a weaker A. Thoughts?
