Meh pretty bland session, wound up finishing up a little less than a BI. I made a retarted call with an obvious str8 no the board at one point that cost me about 1/2 my stack. Rest of the session was just missed hands or river cards that sucked..... Well with the exception of this where I did some soul reading http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

This guy had an obvious shove here too  http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

Tonight was a "dig a hole and crawl out of it" session. Started off down almost a stack within about 15 minutes. A good chunk of it was when I had AK on an A4x flop and got some resistance from the button when he rasied me... he had 44. Overall I wound up finishing the session up a half stack.

Probably funniest hand of the session was where an UTG player limped and I limped behind with 99. He had a $40 stack and I covered. Blinds come along and we see a flop 4 handed. Flop is [6s] [3c] [Ks] and gets checked arouind (Pot is $2)

Turn is a [9s] UTG limper pots it, I call, blinds fold (pot $6)

River is a [Kc] He open shoves $38 into a $6 pot and I snap call. He had 33 :)

As a side note I played in one of those hoiliday giveaway donkaments on Cake.... Biggest nitfest I ever saw. My big hand was when I completed in the SB against 3 limpers with KQo with blinds at 50/100 and the flop came KKx. Checked to the button he bets half the pot, I smooth call everyone else folds. Turn is an A he bet's about half the pot I shove, he calls and limped in with AA, so he filled up on the turn... Standard.

Now it's off to donk arounf with some micro LO8.

Some reflections as the year winds down... Meh for the first few months of the year I was kind of in limbo. I was always a LHE grinder but just wasn't getting into the games so I really didn't do much as far a ton of playing.

Then I decided to play/learn PLO for a few months... Started out good hit a bad run or played like shit, not real sure but basically spent a few months playing to basically break even in the game.

In mid August I decided to give NL ring games a shot.. First time I played them since I grinded my roll from $30 up to about $100 and then went to strictly LHE. Started at the bottom rung of NL10. Not because my roll dictated it but I tend to like to start at square 1 in games I don't have much experience in (also why I'm playing LO8 at .25/.50 ATM too).

My first 11K hands or so I ran at 8.3 PTBB/100 (I'm not really sure if that's what most people post them in... If I switch it to "treat BB for Big Blind amount" the number is 16.8)....Although I still don't understand why NL players do not use this number mostly :?

Then I bumped it up to NL20 For whatever reason I put together a horrific win rate over nearly 19K hands of a measly 2 PTBB/100.

I then switched to NL50 and over 16K= hands I'm running at 7.4 PTBB/100.

What I need to determine at some point is when I want to open my game up a bit. I'm sure as I move up eventually my nit style won't be as effective. I think going into the new year I'm going to start sitting in some NL100 games. If I need to work on opening up my game considerably to beat them I guess I can always look to LAG my game up a bit as needed.

I may play some NL later on this evening or perhaps I'll spend the bulk of the evening gettinvg aggrevated playing some donkaments. Not sure if anyone actually reads this thing or not but if anyone has any insight as to any adjustments/differences (if any) between NL50 and NL100 I'm open to advice.

Not a bad start for the first of the year. Finished up a few ncuks short of 2 stacks (still at the 50's) plus anoth 30 in bonus....Although still haven't seen my RB hit yet either, maybe because of the new year??

Anywho had a bit if a roller coaster few hands that sucked:
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

Had QQ here with the [Qs] I guess I might have been able to find a fold here :?
...Shit I mustve forgot to paste it  .. Anway I raise from UTG with QQ (effective stacks $30-ish) and the blinds call, Flop comes out [2s] [4s] ___, blinds check I bet SB folds BB calls. Turn [5s] check/check... River [Ks]... he shoves his remaining stack in I reluctantly call and he had [As] [3s] for the str8 flush.

Lastly I had an AA hand, which I actully liked my line, as my read was right, but the result sucked. I raised it up from LP and got a button caller (full stacks). Flop came out all diamonds and K high (I didn't have a diamond). I check and button pot's it... Now at that point I put him more on a hand he was interested in protecting against a FD with, but the possibilty of him having one was there too. Turn is an offsuit 4, Check/pot/call... Now I'm putting him more on something like a pair of kings. River pairs the board and there's about $50 in the pot (I have somewhere between 20-24 left. He shoves I call and he had 44 with no diamond either) So to make a long story short I got 2 outed on the turn.

Now let's end on a positive note. :)

This was like 2 hands after I got stacked with my set of 7's:
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

This was funny and I had a decent read on him:
http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

This one I thought was pretty interesting I was torn betweeen shoving the turn or letting him put some $ into the pot and shove the river. I had [Kh] [Qh] here. I had a note on him that he's fairly str8foward. I've seen him not make Cbets with missed AK hands. ..

LOL

Started the session down about 2 stacks within probaly a half hour. Whole session basically sucked. I shipped off about 3 stacks 2 were prolly my fault due to poor play. Then the big hand I though I was gonna score on I flopped top set in positon on a J93 board with a possible 4 flush on it against a total fish station.
He makes a min bet on the flop and I raise him. Turn pairs 9's check/check (hoping he's on the FD). River comepletes the flush and he open shoves. I fist pump snap call and he has 99  .

Although the same guy gave it back when I 3 bet him PF with AK. Flop came out A high with 2 clubs. He bets I raise, turn pairs the board, I shove and he calls with KJ [c] and the river bricks.

So for the whole session I think I wound up exactly even.... Which as far as I'm concerned is a huge victory. Considering I was expecting to be down somewhere around 2 stacks after it was all over.

Bah played a marathon session (for me at least) and it sucked ass. I started out good getting up about a 1/2 buy in early on with this hand (villian had QTo) . http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d From there it just went all down hill, and everytime I got my head up for a breather someone pushed it back down again.

My 2 biggest losers for the sesison was JJ and AA. I think I overplayed 1 AA hand. I raised it up from EP and both blinds came along BB leads into me for $4 into $6 on a [4d] [Kh] [7c] board. I make it $10 to go he makes it $20 and I shove... He had 77 for a flopped set.

Here's one JJ hand http://cakepoker.com/HandHistory/?Hand= ... wM3Exsw%3d

The other one I got 3 bet by a guy in postion and the flop came out TTx he bets I call. River puts another T on the board check/check (and I have a boat now) river is a brick I make a bet of about $20 into a $31 pot when I had $31 remaining in my stack. Villian shoves I call and he had AT for quads.

Remarkably I wound up losing only a little over 1 buy in.

Managed to get myself to actually do some excercise this evening in an effort to get my ass in a little better shape. Nothing extraodinary, but I think I did enough to make me sore over the next day or 2.

Pokerwise I recovered fairly well from yesterday, although I didn't reallyget the amount of hands in I would've liked to. The tables were breaking up fairly quickly and I was doing a fair amount of table jumping (which annoys me).

Finished the session up a little over 2 buy ins, the first table I sat at I hit like a house on fire. Doubles my stack in about 5 minutes. I think partly because I looked like a maniac because the first few hands I was raising and hammering players.... Really for no other reason that I got dealt good hands that happened to also connect nice too. Seriously I think in maybe 10 hands I played 8 and basically doubled my stack. I was hoping to get more hands in but having to keep moving from table to table, or closing a table and get on waiting lists, while playing 1-2 tables kind of tilts me.
