Yeah, I know it's a double post but I guess if for some reason, it is undeterminable who should rank higher, they would probably, assuming the placing was not too high, just expand the payout.
Like this for example:
%20 people enter top, top 52 pay, there are 53 people left.
At one table, two identical stacks move all in, and lose to a bigger stack.
They would, by my theory, chance the pay out so that 53 pay out.
A different scenerio being this:
Same payout, but they are down to 41, 41-52 get 10k, 40-30 get 14k.
Two people go out with the same stack, at the same time, they add up the total, 24k, and split it, thus both recieving 12k.
I am not certain about the first example, but I have heard the second one a couple times, from different people. Obviously it might not be true, but oh well.
