I'm wondering what range of hands we put the two villains on here.

I think we can safely put UTG on a PP below TT. maybe, *maybe* a chance at SC's, but someone raising 10%, even with playing 36% isn't going to call a raise AND a reraise with SC's very often to warrant putting him on those.

As for the button, his range is huge here. After the cold call I think his range is QQ on down. We can safely assume he'd 4-bet with AA, and likely with KK since the other guy came into the hand too. that leaves any pair QQ and below. AQo+, ATs+, and with his PFR range, i'd say 76s+.

Anyone disagree with this range?

The more I look at this hand the more it seems that if I CB it and call a shove, all I have is 8 outs ftw...

I thought that UTG has some small pocket pair and I also thought that BTN has something similar and called my reraise only because UTG called.. It felt strange though.. So, I CB $36, UTG shoves, BTN thinks and folds and I call..

BTN later said that he had KK and had to fold because he is beat there most of the time... I think he played it like a donk though...

UTG had a jack and I didn't hit..

@Stelvask - I agree with the range you're talking about.. That's how I thought about it, but then BTN folded and I had to call a shove from someone I was pretty sure has low PP.. lower then 88 that is...

i think the other thread about break even streches prooves the point, that '+EV +++High variance' < '-EV +++low Variance'

when in the long run means 10 million hands and not 150k then i'll go the low variance way
