Prima 200NL 6max. Villain is typical Prima so he's 28/12/2. More calling station than anything else.

2 limpers, he completes SB, I check BB with 3[s] 2[s].

Flop ($8). A[h] 5[s] 4[c].

Well hello big dollop... He checks. I bet $6, 1 caller, and he calls.

Turn (26) 9[c]. He checks, I bet 19, and only villain calls.

I'm pretty sure he's on some weak ace here.


River (64) A[d]. He checks.

Do you:
1) bet for value and fold to a raise.
2) check behind
3) bet for value but call a raise.

3 and its not close

I think there are two good options here:

1. Betting and folding to a raise.
2. Pushing.


I do not like betting and calling a raise because it WILL be a boat. But you lose value if you check here since he will often have a weak ace and be willing to call. If you think he will call a push with AT, a push is probably best, but against most people of this kind I think betting $50 and folding to a raise is best.

He will not raise without a boat because you've been repping an Ace all the way and since he didn't raise preflop he can't be sure of his kicker (ie: he doesn't have AK).

Now that I've read the final action and result... well, a mini-check/raise on the river is ALWAYS a monster. Basically I think you need A4 or better to call it and win since the worst hands he can have is 55 and 44.
