Villain is running 58.3/5.6/2.8 after 36 hands. My image probably seems like I'm trying to bully the table, b/c I don't think I've shown down a hand, raising limpers, running 19/16/6. Our only hand together that went to sd had him minraising KJo on J hi 2-tone flop, ckd behind on turn, and bet the river weak.

It was close to an instashove. I didn't feel like I thought through the hand long enough before I made my decision, and I know I didn't think about the river when I bet the turn. In general I think I give up too much on later streets and allow myself to get bluffed/semibluffed off my hand, and this shove seemed like a familiar situation.

I think the chance of him holding KJ is very slim for what its worth, even total donks rarely call two streets with a gutshot.

Based on the preflop action, I would be stunned to see the villain show up here with AQ or AK, so your kicker is probably good, the question is did he hit 2 pair or better? Basically I feel it doesn't matter if you have AK or AJ here, they are the same vs his range.

Looks a bit grim, but by betting the turn I feel you are committing yourself to go all the way, by doing so you need to feel he is more likely to have an Ace with a weaker kicker or a draw than a made hand that has you beat. To be honest the river doesn't change a great deal in my opinion, so based on your turn commitment you should call.

So next time check the turn and see what he does, a check behind is usually a draw or a weak ace/second pair/whatever.

I'd have just shoved the river myself.

I instacall if he pushed that river fast. If it was more thought out, I'd find the fold probabl.

As played, I'd have checked the turn though. With TPGK OOP, I'd prefer a showdown over bloating the pot.

Yeah I think we'd all prefer two pair here to one pair for bet bet bet, but if you don't do it now someone else will take the opponents money before you do and you've missed out on lots of dough.
