Hand #1 - Yeah I 100% agree about preflop. I have been trying to pay real close attention to short stacks lately and stop myself from making raises like this all the time but clearly didn't see this one.
Hand #2 - Sham you're right about me being way off base thinking AJ might be in this range. That's just super unlikely.
Preflop I think is not 'bad'. All of you think his range must be tight, ergo my range must be tighter. This is favourable to me for a few reasons: 1) he will fold a lot of his hands preflop being OOP to such strength, 2) when he calls I can rep a tonne of strength on the flop and if it's like A/K/Q high can probably make him fold most of his range, 3) not a huge factor but if I hit something big he'll never put me on the hand, 4) meta.
Xas,
Thoughts plz.
Poker is silly.
It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.
Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
