WOW. Every hand I see posted lately I just want to pull my hair out when I see responses. Maybe its just a matter of different styles. Im really trying to make sense of some of this stuff to see if I need to make adjustments, but I just dont see it.
Hand #1)
a) I dont even know what "bet/call 100" means.
b) Why does everyone want to check raise the flop with their strong hands? What happened to "lead with a set"? Nobody does it so you should be doing it so he cant put you on a hand. The raiser is going to check behind alot of the time here. You let him or the SB hit a flush for free. I think leading out is a must here.
c) As played, I would never check the turn. Saying that the only hand that calls you is one that beats you , on this board is just insane. For the love of god, please bet the turn here. $100 or more.
d) You built a big pot with the check raise, do you want to just give it away now by checking the turn and letting him hit with
[Qd] or
[Kh] or whatever he called a check raise with? If he flopped a flush so be it. Bet / call an all in.
Hand #2) AA and QQ beat you. Theres a decent chance he has one of those. I think THIS is one of those spots where you only get called by a hand that beats you if you shove. Hes not calling a shove with JJ or lower unless hes an idiot. AQ might, but AQ will also bet any river if you check behind. The flush draw is a little scary but I usually ignore a flush in raised and reraised pot. Nothing wrong with pushing here because the pot is already big enough so if he folds its no big deal, and if he has AA / QQ, youre not folding to his river bet anyway......but I can see a check behind also.
Hmm...Zuccala didnt specify which hand his comments are for so I hope they are for #2.
