Switching over to limit to clear the rest of the bonus and then I've got to be fuckin insane if I ever play another NLHE cash hand at Full Tilt again. Tournaments and non-hold'em maybe if I can't find enough tables, but NEVER NLHE again.

Started out the week +5 stacks after first 2 sessions. Dropped back all 5 stacks last 2 sessions.

Same theme, I raise preflop, you pound me on flop. Sick of it already. So about 1 orbit in I get setup. No way I'm ever folding this hand after I raise 7.5xBB preflop vs a 1/2 stack on this board.....

Same time, different table, ok I know he has the flush on the turn. 90% sure, but you gotta give me this 8 on the river and hope I tilt off more. Well done FT, you got me to make a bad river call and bleed some more rake. I know it's a bad call and I would have folded if not for that AA hand......

So now I'm down 2 stacks almost immediately. I spend the next 2 hours climbing back to a 1 stack deficit.

How?

29/20 raises, I re-raise JJ. He calls. I flop top set on a monotone board. Shocker the loose aggressive guy has QQ with the suit on board. I win though. Don't they ever have air when they're raising 20% of their hands?

But then I raise [Ad][7d] in CO. C-bet a 586 monotone flop. 1/2 stack on button raises. I put him all-in and he has 77. I miss.

Same guy calls again and then raises my next c-bet. I fold.

He does it again, 3rd time in a row. I have JTs. Flop is Txx. I shove. He has KK this time. Maybe they're not out of line. It's a fucking pinnochle deck.

Then I tilt off a little more and call another raise from a loose player with 97s. Flop 9xx. I call a c-bet. Turn 7. Holy shit. He must have an overpair too. Unreal. Never air. QQ. I take his stack.

I had another couple of people dump decent pots to me on missed draw bluffs. So I've cut the deficit down to 1 stack and uncheck the post blinds button. I'm ready to leave for the night.....

[Qh][Jh] in BB. MP raises to $1.50, Loose button calls, I call. Flop QxQ. I check, MP checks, Button bets $2, I call, MP raises to $10. Button folds. I just call. Turn K. Check/check. I'm pretty sure he has KQ here, but I have to call a $15 river bet into a $27 pot to see it.

Ok, so that's 1/2 stack back. Gonna get it back here. I open-raise QQ CO. SB 333/17 and maybe tilting after just calling most his stack off with top pair re-raises. How stupid am I not to see this.....

I so foolishly convinced myself that it was my turn to finally run good after getting off to a 5 stack profit this week.

Just a little update on the hell that is my poker life at Full Tilt. Been playing just about everything else except NLHE full ring. And running pretty shitty in all those games too. Cept for HORSE and LHE where I'm running about even.

I've cleared $266.21 of the bonus. No way I'm getting the whole $500 obviously. Started the month out great the first week. Lost a little back the 2nd week. Started off the 3rd week awesome, but then came crashing down and broke even. This week has sucked and I've lost 7 out of the last 9 days actually and my profit for the month is now an even $90 after being up about $500 for the month prior to this 9 day stretch. Like I said before the month. I'll probably break even at best trying to clear this bonus. Looks like I'm in store for a 3rd straight break even month.

Been playing some short stacked PLO8 with some NLO8 mixed in at mostly the $50 level, but some at the $25 level. Running like shit there obviously. I'm getting called all-in by naked low draws who end up scooping.
Last 7 hands I got it in with, here is both the equity and the results:
52% equity - 0% return
68% equity - 0% return
61% equity - 0% return
34% equity - 25% return
95% equity - 100% return (Yay?)
54% equity - 25% return
60% equity - 0% return.
So for something that's supposed to be a fairly low variance game that's a 150% return on 424% equity. Not even close.

To make it even better, I accidentally bought in full for 1 table tonight and decided to stick with it. Can anyone tell me why he's calling the flop raise? Possibly for the miracle turn and river he knows is coming?

I have just downloaded the trial version of PTOmaha. I thought it would be integrated into PT3 and was going to wait, but now I hear that this will take a while so I may just buy the current one. The trial version only allows 1K hands, but that's fine because that's exactly what I have (923).

I am now able to confirm what I believed to be the case. I run like shit in PLO8 too so far this month.

So I was running downward towards even for the month 2 days ago when I had the following sessions over a 24 hours span...

NL 30BB Cap +$56.05
PLO8 +$58.40
NL 30BB Cap +$56.70

Followed by these sessions.....
Limit HE -$66.50
PLO8 -$42.85
NL 30BB Cap -$149.50

I am now just about even for the month again after being up about $300 for the month yesterday.

My standard deviation in the NL 30BB Capped .25/.50 blind game is ±52.56. My standard deviation on every single Full Tilt game is light years beyond any other game on any other site. God couldn't convince me that there wasn't something going on here to generate rake in the low limit games.

Here's my updated EV graph for the NL 30BB Capped game.
Image

One absolutely amazing player today ran 57/29 over 140+ hands and always had the best hand by showdown +101.71 BB/100. He had winning stats from every position.

As a matter of fact he was 82/40 from the SB and re-raised just about every time there was a raise, usually from my playing a 16/8 game. So I just had it and decided to start shoving in when he did that. You might think that someone playing every single hand and raising and re-raising half of them might NOT have a hand occasionally. Not of Full Tilt.......

I raise AJo CO.....82/40 re-raises from SB. I push. He has QQ.
I raise KQo CO....82/40 re-raises from SB. I push. He has AQ.
I raise QJs MP.....he calls OTB. I check it down and call his river bet on 663TJ board. He has K5s for the flush. Some might think I should bet top pair on the river. Not on this site against lucky players.
I raise 66 CO.....82/40 re-raises from SB. I push. He has JJ.
I make a large raise 99 OTB after 2 limpers.....he calls BB. Flop 4QJ and he check-raises all-in.

Those are the last 5 hands I raised against him.

Here's a look at the 6 players in this game with over 70 hands and VP$IP 50+.....

I HEAR U.

Im disgusted with FTP play, they WILL NOT FOLD. I tried to up the amount of my PFR, no dice. Call an 8xbb PFR with J8o OOP, call all draws, etc. If you have anything their superuser status highlights the fold button, Its sick. You have to be willing to stack off with middle pair no kicker or you get steamrolled. I get steamrolled.

Im about to take a month off cause of this chit

ED, where?

JC, the sicker thing is that they always seem to have it too.

Maybe you guys would appreciate this. I just sat down again for another hour because I like the abuse and wanted to play catchup and found someone even more insane.....

First I ran AA into AA naturally, then at another table there is one guy running at 70% and another at over 80% and winning.

All of these "legitimate" hands in a 48 hand span on 1 table

So full tilt is essentially telling me that I'm not a good enough player to be an overall winner in this game? Then what adjustments should I make, other than never raising until I have the nuts on the river of course.

Took Monday off. First day not playing poker in 2008. Just some humorous hands from last night, all in the 30BB Capped NL games.

1 - They never, ever slow down or stop. Never! Sometimes it's best to just check and let them get it out of their system. CO hadn't seen a board card that he didn't want to bet all session. Unlike the French in WWII, the word surrender was not in his vocabulary.

2 - This was actually the first pot I was involved in after a day off. Let's see. I raise, he calls a re-raise in a 30BB Capped game. He would have pushed AK preflop, so why else would they put 2 Kings out there unless he called the re-raise with a hand he wasn't supposed to? That's why I checked flop and turn. My only mistake was on the river where I should have either check/called or bet/folded when I was pretty sure he was over-slowplaying and trying to save me money.

3 - Finally, FINALLY, I get it in way behind! Even though it was by no means a mistake as UTG had already shown a willingness to call off preflop with any pocket pair as you can see here after he calls a push and a call. What am I gonna do? BB always has a hand when I have one in the SB. At least I was finally able to get it in way behind and experience some of that Full Tilt donk love.

3 - I know I'm at risk when I limp with Aces and will sometimes fold a dangerous flop in deeper stack games. Here I had him on a weak King or flush draw and was still 70% on the turn. I just couldn't put him on the running 5's. Wouldn't have mattered. He was calling a raise with it anyway. Still, if you want to call it a mistake, go ahead.

There TERRIBLE!

Small loss on the day. I'm beating this game for the month and slightly down all-time, but I should be crushing it.

Today last day of NL ring games on Full Tilt. Large volume of MTT's in the next week most likely. Back to Stars , but will continue to play MTT's and non-holdem games at Full Tilt if there isn't a decent selection at Stars. All hold'em cash games at Stars though.

I will now recount my final brick to the face session in the NL Capped games at Full Tilt tonight. Before I start, I feel that I need to remind you that Full Tilt claims that in each deck, there are 4 Aces, 4 Kings, 4 Queens, 4 Jacks and so on. And furthermore they claim that you have a random chance of being dealt any of those cards and they have the same random chance of appearing on the board at any time.

Now keep all that in mind as I show you how many times I can run AK into QQ+ and how many so many players can play everyhand but always have your best hands beat.

To start with. 4 players this month with 80%+ VP$IP's, including 2 today.....(ahem....bullshit!)
Image

In just 500 hands tonight:

#21 - JJ into AA

#30 - AQ into AK

#41 - I win my first pot for $1.20 - this is 6-max remember

#42 - I make a dumb dumb. 4 handed against a 35/9 min-raiser, all 4 see the flop. I stack off on a 853 rainbow board with 98s from BB vs JJ.

#109 - AKs into KK (opponent 44/26)

#123 - [Ad][Ks] < [Qd][Tc] on [Ts][8d][Jd] flop all-in. Yes, I raised in position and QT called.

#130 - I win my biggest pot of the session so far. $5.50 with 99 on an A9A flop. My 1st pot over $2.

#139 - I fold JJ preflop in this insane game. There is a limp, a raise, and a push in front of me. BB and the original raiser call the push behind me.
BB - [Qc][Jc]
Original raiser and the guy I ran AKs into KK against in #109 - [6h][5h].
Pusher - [Kc][Ks]
Ship the pot to BB [Qc][Jc] with a straight. I would have split the pot if I had called.

#147 - KK into AA

#172 - 4-way all-in preflop. Still not even.

Hero wins $57 ( won +$42 )
UTG lost -$15.00
UTG+1 lost -$15.00
SB lost -$15.00

#248 - I raise AJs. Same guy that I ran AK into KK against and also got all-in preflop with 65s and is running 45/26 re-raises me from the SB for like the 5th time so I push. He has AK. I actually win this one because I'm way behind.

#292 - AKs < QQ blind vs blind

#294 - TT < 65s - no overcards on board - trip 5's

#298 - TT > AK + AK. We sure there's only 4 of each card in the deck? Still not even.

#300 - JJ < T9o (short stack) all-in preflop. 69K87 board

#328 - 3-way all-in preflop.
Me - [Ac][Qh]
Idiot #1 - [3h][3d]
Idiot #2 - [Kh][Th]
Original min-preflop raiser announces that he also had KT and folded.
Winner? KT
Board T29KA

#368 - A min-raise, I re-raise with AK, UTG limper pushes, min-raiser calls, I call
Me AK
Min-raiser (86/29) 88
UTG AK
The maniac holds up. Why would you think of folding 88 to a re-raise and push from the 2 tight players at the table?

#420 - AK into KK yet again. AT came along for the all-in preflop ride.

#423 - I fold TT after a raise and re-raise by 2 maniacs. They get all-in. Shocker. AK vs KK again.

#433 - I can't even explain this one, but I thank him for it. Seriously, WTF was this? Did he not think I had A-hi worst kicker beat?

It's hard to play good poker against people who don't know wtf they are doing.
It seems some good advice would be just step back a bit, don't make too many complicated moves, and don't try so much to outplay opponents who can't play at all.

I notice one hand in particular where you berate a guy for not folding his bottom pair when you reraise in position. Isn't this exactly what you want???

Obv he doesnt care and obv that mistake makes you money in the long run.

Key is at this site (so ive learned) against the bad players at the micros make thin VBs. DO NOT try and outplay, DO NOT bluff calling stations, DO NOT be too aggressive.

Push with the nuts, they call with bottom pair and you win gg.
