You know, I've come to realise that I was simply playing really shit for the first half of this month. During my downswing I had less than average luck, sure, but my play was really bad. Even before I started to lose my play wasn't very good either. I was just so rusty from having not played in months and I thought I knew what I was doing/was playing well but I wasn't.
I spent the last couple of days playing fewer tables, watching videos from Cardrunners and Leggo Poker and reading a tonne of 2p2. I've looked at my game and seen a tonne of areas where I can improve and am really glad to have done so. My results have been good and I've been very pleased with the way that I'm playing.
Another thing I've decided I want to do is play a lot more HU NLHE and more tournaments. HU because I think it will really improve the rest of my game + it's good to mix things up + it's really fun, and tournaments because they're a whole new type of poker to explore and there is a lot of money to be made playing them.
Anyway, results for today:
Sessions
#1: 2hrs 38mins, 1192 hands, +$2,151.70
#2: 29mins, 92 hands, +$63.25
#3: 3hrs 8mins, 800 hands, +$776.00
#4: 35mins, 108 hands, +$130.05
Poker is silly.
It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.
Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.
