with no reads i call and evaluate the turn...in an unraised pot his range is sooooo wide and it could def. include a 4...push/fold is bad here

He didn't limp, he called a minraise.

would you guys consider it to be lower variance to fold the flop, without any reads?

are you guys also saying that a call, if profitable, is only profitable marginally?

i think that's a good example for why you have to raise this minraise preflop, correct me when i'm wrong. You don't wanna see flops where everybody can have about every possible hand.

a minraise is most often a weak pp or some medicore hand, it's rarely a good hand... so if you raise him preflop you maybe can fold him right there or even after hitting a pair on the flop, maybe turn depending on the player. And you are in a well defined situation where you can exclude a 4 from the players ranges and are not facing so many opponents with a pair on a paired board.

i call flop cause i hate minraises on the flop... but I don't know what to do when he keeps betting without a read. So a fold might be +EV vs a good player who is going to keep betting here even with air, like he should.

if this had been a checkraise i might think different as bad players often checkraise their trips.
