Villian: $375 (MP)


Read:

Villian is decent. He is not a C/S. He is a TAG and may be a little weak, I have been abusing him on the one table I have position on him.


Hand:

All folds to MP who limps $2 , BTN limps $2, I raise to $13 [Ac] and only Villian calls

flop: [2h][5c] $29 ( 2 Players)

I check, Villian checks

turn: $29 ( 2Players)

I checkl, Villian bets $20, I call $20

river: $69

I check, Villian bets $25, I call $25


Analysis

Flop: Thats a VERY dry board and if I CB he is gonna fold and if I get raised i am gonna be in a tough spot as he is repping a VERY small range and he is either bluffing or has a set and since he is weakish he wont be bluffing so I check to see if he bet his PP.

Turn is a brick and I can rule out quads so I check again hoping he will take a stab at pot. He bets $20, now if I C/R he will fold, so that has no value.

River: Still looks good to me. He may think i picked up a FD on the turn or something. So i check, be bets $25 and I call.


Thoughts??

Maybe I should lead on the river in the above hand for a smallish VB. He is a little weak so after I call the turn bet, the majority of the time he check thru. If he raises I am beat most of the time but overall a lead I think is better here. Agree?

Stacks:

Hero: $420 (BTN)

Villian : $350 (CO)


All folds to Villian who raises $8, I 3 bet him to $25 with [Kh] and only he calls

flop: [6s][4d] $53 ( 2 Players)


Villian bets $51, I call $51

turn: $155 ( 2 Players)

Villian checks, I check

river: $155 ( 2 Players)

Villian checks, Hero bets $70, Villian times out and folds


Analysis:

Preflop: The villian should have a fairly wide rabnge here opening in the CO. I have seen him 4bet with KK and AA. So when he calls my 3 bet i put him on 88-QQ, maybe AK.

Flop: He leads into me! So I can rule out AAKK (just in case) and 66 and 44 or not in his range. So i put him on 88-QQ and maybe AK (AK is doubtful as he would not risk me folding I think), I just call as raising has no added value as he is drawing thin IF my read is good.

turn: If I follow up here with a bet he will fold those hand I think he has. I mean i dont think he would bluff raise a flush because he is weak but I have showdown value so i check,

River: If he had a flush he was gonna bet it here so I make a just under 1/2 pot VB to try to get him to take the bait.

Thoughts???

If he had a King it would be Ak and he did not raise PF and he would not call a raise with KQ. Lets say I check and he bets and I raise he will fold 66-TT I "think". But i see your point and maybe I have him too tight.
