No real reads on BTN, he's only been around for maybe 5 hands. After pf action & w/ how I decided to play the flop, when he 5bet shoves, I am about 90% sure he's got 33 but I feel like I've already invested too much to lay it down & if he does have 33, I still have some outs. I would have felt much more comfortable getting it in if I 3bet pf but is this flop play spew or is it variance to be up against a set w/ top 2?

I'd 3-bet or fold preflop. AJo is a bit too weak to call oop in a multiway pot.

If you're 90% sure that he has 33 then it's a very easy fold.

I really doubt that you can be 90% sure that he has 33 though. I feel he will show up with AK/AQ/A3 or AJ himself often enough to make calling his flop shove +EV, if only marginally.

If we know that he's a nit or super solid TAG or that he always 3bets AJ+ preflop and never raises A-rag on this flop, then I think folding is OK.

You've played with him for 5 hands. most of the time a random is just gonna have A3 or worse here.

So are you guys sayin w/o any real reads I played it fine? Granted, he had no reads on me either so he could easily show up w/ AK, AQ, A3, Ax thinking its good which was one of the only reasons I called. No one is ever folding here with no reads right?
