In my experience, a preflop min raiser almost always bets the flop and usually full pot. It always cracks me up because they almost never get called and when they do, they are behind, so they get very little money in preflop and then try to pound the pot and take down the little pot they created. Its pretty stupid.
Anyway, I felt like this is the prefect flop for a min raiser to bet with his 88 or Axs whatever which is why I checked to him. He bet and the maniac called. My problem at that point was that the maniac doesnt have a chance to bluff if I take control of the hand by raising and I also will fold out alot of the preflop min raisers range by raising.
However, I decided that we were deep enough that i wasnt going to get the maniac all in unless I raised and he had a 5 (or he wanted to bluff reraise me), so I raised to $18.
Min raiser dude folded but then the manaic min reraised me to $30. If he had reraised bigger I wouldve flat called so he could bluff the turn, but his min reraise told me he had a 5, so I made it $85 and he pushed with A5 and I stacked him.
