Playing ten tables on PS

Postby GeoC » Wed Jan 30, 2008 8:25 pm

Decided to try a little different approach at least for me. Pound the big pairs and set mine.
This is a short sample but PokerEV tells me that for this methodology, I'm right on the money. Anyway here's the stats so far. Low stakes up to 11 tables full ring.

I did something similar for a bit at the 200s when i wanted a bunch of FPP's quickly on stars (which is coincidentally now the rage among Supernova Eliters).

You're way too passive, both pre and post (at least going by your w$wsf and flop aggro) to sustain that winrate.

now doing 12 tables

Postby GeoC » Thu Jan 31, 2008 10:38 am

OK now up to 12 tables. Nothing against any of you who have voiced your opinions but I'd really like to hear from people like Ex., Iceman, Kenny G, Blacknight. Now I have 2 friends that started by playing ABC poker with a dozen or so tables that maintained a 2ptbb/100 win up to $1/$2 NL. They both now play the Bellagio's $25/$50 NL game.

I spun off a few hundred more hands this morning and here's my PokerEV graph. It shows my Icy bucks and actual nearly identical.

I think if you play that tight and do nothing but look for overpairs and sets, you could probably still win 2 PTBBs all the way up to $200NL. If you play alot of tables the money would add up, but WOW that has to be mind numbingly boring.

12 tables and counting

Postby GeoC » Thu Jan 31, 2008 1:08 pm

Ice:

Thanks for the sane response. You've given me a lot of insight in the past and I appreciate it. Next time you want to visit Vegas I'll get you a free room. PM me and give me a couple of weeks notice.

I'm going to go for 20 tables. There's a fellow on Cardrunners that can do it and has a video out on it. Trust me you're not bored with this many tables as you have a decision to make every few seconds.

Up-to-date stats.

Playing like that won't yield you any action and I am afraid you will be very disappointed when people start set mining You..

But, it works for now I see.. so, GL with it...

From RB:
(Playing like that won't yield you any action and I am afraid you will be very disappointed when people start set mining You..
But, it works for now I see.. so, GL with it... )

I'm getting plenty of action at these levels. Once I go higher we'll see.

Tripple B: You hit the nail on the head. I have one Dell 17" monitor. I may look into your suggestion. Lotsa brain damage with this methodology.

Ice here's a pix with 11 open tables and I'm getting ready to pop up the 12th one.

With that low a boredom threshold and the ability to 12-20 table you could short stack the $400's for much the same win rate (2PTBB/100) and an awful lot more money - swings are less too..
