I think a 4/5 pot on the flop is fine as a CB.

However, after he calls the flop CB you can take 2 paths.

1) You bet the turn and if he calls, you check the river. The problem with this path is you likely set yourself up for a tough river decision. You are lucky he only bet 6. What if he bets 15? What if he shoves? You basically have a PSB left.

You do benefit from extracting some value out of a guy that just can't fold a J.


2) You check the turn and VB the river. A lot of hand fear that turn card because it completes the flush and is also an overcard (so AJ is fearful). At this point you are OOP so pot control is not so bad.

The problem with this is if he's agro (but your stats say he isn't), he might try to steal it on the turn, when you check. Of course, a steal attempt is about the same amount you would pay if you had lead the turn so no net loss there.


Personally, I like option 2 on scary boards and option 1 on dry-ish boards.
