Bet more on flop and bet/fold turn, correct?

He can definitely be bluffing, or at least be betting a hand you beat. I probably either take your line and call the river, or I bet/call the turn

i think flop is ok but yeah I would bet/fold turn

I think your line is fine but i would call the river alot of the time depending on what i thought of villain.

I disagree with Chuck that most players raise the flop with an 8 so he could easily have one, but i think he doesnt have one often enough to call the river.

Check calling the turn makes your hand look like a medium pair (which of course it is).

On the turn, you have to work out whether you are willing to call a 3/4 pot to pot sized bet on the river or not (assuming a river blank)

If so I'd rather check raise the turn to rep a really high pair or set.
If he calls that you can be done with the hand barring a T on the river and it will still cost you less than calling off his river bet.

If not then you just fold- you have only put $22 in and you are going to pay another $36 to check fold almost every time unless you hit your two outer.
