Maybe I'm too sensitive but it just seemed to be every interaction we had I was told that I suck so it finally got to be a little much.

Anyway, you might be one of the few people that run as bad as I do so maybe we could have a good HU match

Anyway, on to more poker related topics. The Canadian Poker Open is coming to Calgary in March (Calgary is about 2 hrs from me). The main event is a $5000 HU event, which I will try to satellite into (online). Knowing me, I probably won't make it in. So as a fall back plan I may enter into one of the other events.

There are 3 of note:
$1500 6-max freezeout.
$1000 freezeout.
$500 freezeout.

There are also live super-satellites for a $3500 package for the $1500 and $1000 events + $1000 for travel which I might enter.

I just have to run good the next few weeks so I can justify the expense to the wife

I am officially obsessed with my Setometer.

In the last 2 weeks I have:

Flopped 68 sets when I should have flopped 95.
Lost $1700 on sets of 9s.
Made 2 sets out of 55 KKs that saw a flop.
Made 3 sets out of 55 AAs that saw a flop.
Flopped 2 sets against overpairs. I lost 1.
Flopped 10 overpairs against sets. I won 0. Note: I should be flopping sets against overpairs about as often as I flop overpairs against sets but I am doing the bad one 5 times as often as the good one.
I had 0 set over sets.
I was oversetted 2 times.
I had AA vs KK 2 times. I lost 1.
I had KK vs AA 3 times. I won 0.


So overall, if I total up the bottom section of the Setometer that shows sets vs overpairs and AA vs KK , etc I am down ~$4800 in those "coolers". This number should be 0 if I am running average and am equal in skill to my opponents. If I can occasionally fold an overpair when my villain's cannot (which I do), then that number should be positive.

So I play this hand today against a regular who sucks. He plays like 29/11 and is too passive. That said, he is probably a winner against donks.
