So I guess a quick update is in order.

Played a bunch, won very little, pretty std. I'm still running meh.

A few days ago I took a shot or two at the 100's on AP, and was obv a little weak tight to start with as I had no stats on anyone, and was trying to get used to my bet sizes. It seems my CBets were getting CR all over the shop. But I'm slowly getting used to it, and starting to exploit some of the regulars along with waiting for big hands against the retards. Last night for the last 500 hands or so I felt waaaay more comfortable although I'm maybe a bit too agressive post flop but w/e, early days yet.

I'm was buying in for 200bb's, which I've decided I need to stop because I'm not properly rolled for that. I'm also thinking that's prolly the reason I was more comfortable 3 betting and 4 betting the regs lighter, as with 200bb effective stacks, I have a bunch more room to manouvre(sp) but obv this only needs to go wrong once or twice and I'm fucked, and moving back down.

The BR was on $2430 but I had to take some monies out to pay for next months coaching, which as some of you know, will be undertaken by Godlikeroy. I'll be having a one hour coaching session per week with him, for the forseeable future.

Looking through my stats there's not a whole lot wrong I can see except the W@SD figure, which is still painfully low at 48%. My WTSD is like, 23% which may well be a bit weak tight, I dunno but at least I'm not a showdown monkey.

I'm hoping GLR can help me learn how to exploit TAG's properly, a subject I know he's keen on, as well as help me improve my postflop play, basically continuing on from where Kenny left off.

My dumbass mistakes have almost stopped, I'm not spewing money where I shouldn't, I could just do with running a little better please!

Aaaand I FINALLY managed to run well on a weekend morning session on AP, yeeee haaaaw.

700 hands, +$236.

It was mothers day here in the UK, so I went over to my Aunt's where she had a bit of a spread laid on, all my aunts, cousins, nan, mum was there, along with 2 dogs, was like a fucking circus but good fun.

I got back home just in time for my first coaching session with GLR. Obv it was the first time he'd seen me play, so he's just seeing what I play like but he did come up with some different lines in certain hands that I never thought about before. Anyway it was a good session and a good start, I'm really hopeful that after a couple of months worth of lessons will see a dramatic improvement in my game.

The 50's last night were more donkish than usual, weekend players I guess, and Roy couldn't get over how bad they were. He told me he couldn't really see any TAG's to exploit and I explained it's because after dropping $300 at the 100's, I had to drop down to the 50's.

There is quite a difference between the 50's and the 100's on AP, and when my RB arrives within the next 8 days or so, I'll be ready to have another shot at the 100's, and me and Roy can discuss more about exploiting your 19/15 types.

But for now, it seemed apparent to me that Roy will be able to help me exploit the donks at the 50's.

I think it helped that I've met Roy, there was no awkwardness or what not.

Aaaaanyway, the BR is on like, $2250, and will be getting around $400 in RB soon, so new goals for this month is to be nicely rolled for the 100's, and maybe even playing at another site, depending on how many donks I can find at the 100's. So far there are waaaay fewer than I'd hoped.

Not wanting to jinx myself but I have set myself a realistic target of a BR of $3,800 by the end of March.

I won't look any further than that but in my mind I'm hoping to be playing the 200's by the end of April, beginning of June.

It will be interesting to look back and see how realistic this actually was.

That looks remarkably like the live Vic hand you had, immediately before your donk opponent stood up after only an hour at the table and announced he was taking his winnings home. What a tsr LOL

But my point is, he doesn't have an overpair often enough in that spot to make the call profitable. he is raising a range of hands that consists os so many more hands than just overpairs that to many stars have to align to make the call profitable.
