But in all seriousness I really don't like even CBing in this spot when I don't have the goods as I get called so much (not saying never do it, I just don't think it's profitable in a vacuum) and I really hate double barreling here.
As played, if you really refuse to check/fold, and since bet/calling is retarded, I guess bet/folding is the next bets option as it will blast him off 55/33 whatever. I actually don't hate triple barreling all that much in this spot against a decent player (would like it much more if the river were a 2 but there might not be many 4's in his range anyways), but I wouldn't do it against an unknown and the reason why I do it so rarely anyways is because I think the double barreling here this board with no draw is really really bad. If you had ATss I still think c/f is best in a vacuum, but from a balancing standpoint I guess you could bet/fold like $42.
The better player should win the race. Always.
