Ok I think maybe everyone got the wrong idea about my post. I am not quitting poker, I just decided that grinding low limit NL games online is not something I really want to do anymore. As I said before there are better ways for me to be spending my time. I do still plan on playing live poker which I enjoy a lot more than online. I still plan on going to Vegas for spring break, but more because I usually have fun, than anything else.

Kenny I appreciate your comments but I think you misunderstand a little. I do like to talk about how good everyone else runs and I do have a tendency to be pretty negative at times but I dont agree that it affects my play. I know enough to know that 12er doesn't really run hotter than me or anyone else over the long run, but his personality gets him payed in spots where others don't.

I actually feel like I played really well in Vegas. I really didn't win a single pot over 2 buyins, I won a bunch of smallish pots. This is usually a sign that I am playing well. If I could have gotten one or big hand over big hand kinda spots or not been stuck a buy in every session before I could win a hand it would have made for a really good trip. The two big hands I played with you watching I thought I played well. The spot with the JJ < 87 I almost got away from and if I had taken a couple more seconds to think I probably would have, I really wish I had hadd AA or KK cause it would have been an easy river fold. The AQ hand at Palms I think I played well. A lot of people value bet that on the end especially short stacked. I put money in that pot at times where I believe it was correct to and saved money by not betting the flop and not betting the river. The turn card was obviously just not good for my hand vs his hand.

Respecting the money is probably my biggest problems in poker. I had a big problem with it when I moved back down from $500 to $200-$300 NL. Playing $50 NL I just dont have the respect for the money as I should and it allows me to tilt. I tilt a ton more playing online as I do live. Playing $50 I have probably pissed away 2-4 buy ins due to pure tilt, putting my money in in spots where I know I have to fold but just refuse to. Because of the stakes I get frustrated and do the WTF its only $50 move.

Thanks for all the well wishers but as I said I am not quitting just giving up on online poker for a while. I Really am not sure what this means for me long term. One of my major concerns is that not playing online is going to leave my live game a little rusty. I am hoping I have played enough hands the last 5 yrs that not playing everyday hopefully my skills wont erode to much.

Well my return to poker after almost 4 weeks without playing a hand could have gone better. I finished my last final yesterday after a grueling quarter. I went to the Palomar Club to play a little 2/3.

First hand I play shorty with $100 makes it $15 one caller in the middle. I make it $65 with AK. old man calling station limp calls. Flop is K97, I shove old guy fold other guy with 98 calls and I hold.

Next hand I get TT OTB, old asain dude makes it $15, two callers. I make it $50. He shoves $100 more, I call he has AA I dont improve, I really played this hand bad, the guy turned out to be the worlds 2nd tightest player behind the dood who had AA vs MVPs QQ at the Nugget last summer.

I ran pretty cold for a while. I twice flop top pair good kicker against the world largest CS who kept flopping 2 pair. Though at least I got off both hands relatively cheap.

The one set I was was pretty bad timing. I raise QQ CS calls cause thats what he always does, this time unfortunately he as JJ and doesn't reraise. Flop is AQ3, I bet he calls, turn is a K, I bet he folds. Flopping sets is cool and all but this time a nice 229 flop would have worked much better.

Then one really bad hand to end the day. I raise to $35 after 2 limpers in a straddle pot with A, player behind me calls and the straddler calls. Flop is . Staddler leads $40, I raise to $140, player behind me calls. Straddler pushs for $100 more. The caller behind me has $175 or so left so I shove, he calls. I am in about as bad a spot as is possible here. Straddler has and the guy behind me has QQ. I miss my 5 outs to scoop and my 9 outs for the side pot.

I wanted to play today because the last couple times I've taken poker breaks I have played badly my first day back.I didnt play bad today but I also didnt play well, the TT hand my brain kept telling me fold and I still called it was a pretty easy fold and I pretty much donated $100 with what was almost always a bad spot. After that I played better so hopefully this was enough to shake some of the rust of for Vegas.

Played some more 2/3 at Palomar again.

The day started off pretty nice I flop a straight from the SB with 45 on a 678 flop, lead out, got raised by a shorty to $45, I put him in for his last $100, he hems and haws and calls with 77.

So up $150 at that point. And then pretty much downhill as that was my high water mark for the day. It was a really odd day, two of the worst players at the table both left with $1000 each.

I felt like I played pretty well, there was one hand I dont like the way I played. One of the really bad players at the table raises to $10 in my BB I call with KJ. Flop is J high, he bets and I call. turn pairs the bottom card, I check he bets $30 this time I call. River A, he bets $30 again, I call and he has AJ. I really need to throw this hand away on the turn I think. Bad players who make this small preflop raise, bet weak on the flop and strong on the turn almost always have a hand, especially this guy who was super passive. I fell like I donated $60.

The other moron call my 3 bet with 22, flop is K high, I bet, he calls. Turn is a 2, check I check behind. River is a brick, he bets $30 into a $160 pot, I call and he tables 22.

Overal a prettty up and down day, I played a lot of pots with SC and small pairs and didnt reallly hit any of them. No flopped sets today and a lot of pocket pairs. The only set I would have flopped, I call the morons raise with 55, someone reraises behind and shorter stack pushs for $150ish. I flop, moron shoves with KK. Flop is 965 turn 7 river 8. Shorty has TT. Reraiser has JJ. Guess it doesnt make a difference I would have chopped with the big stack and lost to the shorty. I felt much more comfortable this time at the table which was nice, I think its fair to say all the rust is gone.

-$85 in 5 hrs.

First day of poker was a pretty meh. Crazy ass action table, all ins with just about everything.

I ran KK into AA and only lost $50 so that could have been a lot worse.

I did flop one set, I raise 88 flop is A , no one at the table can fold an ace, I bet and everyone folds. Mehhhhhh

I limp 7 flop is , dude leads out $10, 2 callers I raise to $60 he calls. Turn , he bets $40, I call. River is a 5, he checks, I check behind. He has . $%#%$%@$@#$@#$#@$ #@. We were both were $500 deep if only he could have hit is other 5 "outs".

I parked ion level 3, walked up to try to find and elevator and the level right above mine was 5, cant find an elevator to the casino. So I walk down and the level below my level is 4 and directly below that is 2. I fear I may never be able to find my car again.[/i]
