BB hasn't been on the table long. Maybe 20 hands. I haven't seen him do anything redonkulous or super rocky. I've never seen him take a hand to showdown, so no good information there either.

I've been active on the table, catching some hands, isolating limpers, and open-raising a bunch from LP.

He called the flop fairly quickly, which generally means weak hand/draw/plz stop betting. I thought it was likely he was floating this flop or had a weak hand, so my plan was to check the turn and raise him. I didn't notice the turn offered two FD possibilities until I already checked - otherwise I would have led the turn.

Given my check, what's my next play? If I raise to 11 he'll only have $8 behind. If I check-raise-all-in I might get looked up since this is BvB, or it might scare him off. If I call, there's a lot of river cards that could be troublesome and I won't know where I am in the hand. So if I called the turn, I would bet-fold the river unless I catch a T.

I'm starting to think that last option would be optimal? Not many players at these stakes will bluff-raise the river without much fold equity.

Without a solid read that this guy will bet the turn, I don't like the plan to c/r here. But, since that's your plan...that turn changed nothing unless he flatted with 99 and didn't bother to raise you on the flop. So, why change your mind?

I would just lead the turn. Your hand is not THAT strong, so if villain cks behind it's not just diamonds you have to worry about on the river. If you bet the turn and get raised, then you have something to think about.

I guess I was thinking too much "metagame" or whatever. I originally planned on the turn check-raise to try to discourage people floating me in other hands. But at NL25 dunno if it's really worth it.

Throw metagame in the trash at 25NL. Plus you only have 20 hands on him anyway.

I think bet/bet/bet is good here. If the river is a scary card you can check and re-evaluate.

I really don't like the CR on the turn because it shows a ton of strength and if the money goes in you're gonna be a huge dog most of the time unless hes a huge donk and will stack off with any pair or draw.

As played I think you can call the turn. On the river it's a mix up between bet/folding and check/calling imo.
