$100NL 6-max @ FT

i raise [Tc] in MP to $3.50. button calls. 100bb effective stacks. he's shown himself to be a little loose but not an idiot, and in any case i have minimal history with him.

i bet $7. he calls.

turn:

i bet $16, he calls.

what do we do here?

My read on this is that if they have called 2 streets, they are not folding on the river. And a 75 just got there.

Or if you actually think he only has a busted FD, check/raise to let him "bluff" it and move him off a [7s] type of hand.

But in all seriousness I really don't like even CBing in this spot when I don't have the goods as I get called so much (not saying never do it, I just don't think it's profitable in a vacuum) and I really hate double barreling here.

As played, if you really refuse to check/fold, and since bet/calling is retarded, I guess bet/folding is the next bets option as it will blast him off 55/33 whatever. I actually don't hate triple barreling all that much in this spot against a decent player (would like it much more if the river were a 2 but there might not be many 4's in his range anyways), but I wouldn't do it against an unknown and the reason why I do it so rarely anyways is because I think the double barreling here this board with no draw is really really bad. If you had ATss I still think c/f is best in a vacuum, but from a balancing standpoint I guess you could bet/fold like $42.

I'll echo DH and say I think double barelling here is pretty bad.

i think the double barrel is acceptable as long as we're willing to triple a lot. think of how you guys respond with 99 or 77 in his spot.

he could also easily be a passive dude with spades, or have any number of pair + gutshot hands.

what i agree is real bad would be double barreling flop + turn AND check/folding river.

giving up here is for the faint of heart.

H2t, c/c is an option, i do not think he will vb thin with one pair hands like 77 and onepair +gutshot, (which im pretty sure he'd want a showdown with) hands to merge his range with the times he fires missed draws/medium over cards with spades, you gotta question if villain is passive enough to give up with such a hand or to try and take a shot at the nice 60bb pot. on the other hand the other part of his range that fires river are like 45s? its hard for me to believe he called flop or turn with a set that boated up. obv possible. just not all that likely.

i really wouldn't want to think that hard so id just hollywood then cram.
