I have a 2 main aliases that I play under and keep track of my stats using Pokertracker. Problem is there is a significant difference in my winnings between the 2 aliases. Under one name I am a significant winner after 25,000 hands, the other a significant loser after 12,000 hands playing the same NLHE ring games. Can anyone offer any insight as to why this may be? My stats seem similar for both as far as VPIP, PFR, PFAF, etc. Is there other things I should be looking at? I am amazed at the difference.

If you are playing the same way and in similar games, than I'd just say luck, thought 25,000 and 12.000 hands should be large enough sample sizes to limit the luck factor.

Maybe its all those pills youre taking?

Seriously, should i just quit playing on the other alias? It feels like I've been running into horrible luck and am due for the good luck so I don't want to stop playing under that name. Flawed logic?

Are you playing under screen name #1 at poker site #1 ...and screen name #2 ay poker site #2? Or are they mixed and matched or what?
Alot of poeple kill one site but struggle at another for various reasons.

well are you winning at Party and losing at Stars for instance (generally Stars is tougher than Party for the same levels)?

various sites play differently - maybe your play is well adjusted to your main site but badly matched at the other - 12,000 hands isn't a huge number btw so it could just be variance

or maybe you are 'gun shy' by now with your 'losing' alias and so playing weak-tight or on mini-tilt with it

Actually, I am playing at the same site under the 2 aliases....Partypoker. One is my alias and one is a friends, but I play that acct too b/c he quit playing and this way I can take advantage of bonuses and the like on both aliases.

I'm definitely not weak tight. PT classifies me as aggressive, so I know that's not the problem. I hope it truly is just variance.
