Your luck on each hand is independent on what's gone before. The concept of running good or bad is really only relevant in hindsight when you're looking back at trends.

IOW if H2T moved down it's just as likely he'd start running good as it is he'd continue to run bad, so the only considerations he needs to make are whether he's still playing well enough to beat the games at 2/4 after this monumental downswing, and whether he's still rolled for 2/4 after the hit.
