It was 7:45am and I am still asleep. My wife had left very early this morning for a fundraiser she had to go to.

All of a sudden the alarm starts going off....if any of you have a home alarm, those fuckers are loud. It wakes me up and it takes a minute to process what is going on. Keep in mind it is already daylight outside. Once I realize that it is the house alarm, I grab a bat (lol @ that fighting off a flying bullet) and open my bedroom door and run down the stairs. I get to the the living room just in time to see a white car pulling out of our driveway and speeding up the hill (we live down in a cul de sac). The only thing it appears they took is our 42 inch plasma tv. They did a pretty good number on our front door, the frame around the door is just shattered. I will try and post some pics of it later on.

Invest in the most solid front door you can - you can get them with steel pins that go deep into the frame - and some serious deadlocks.

Get a gun! They are liable to come back if they saw other stuff they want.

Sig Sauer 226 was a helluva pistol when I last knew anything about guns before they got banned in the UK. On a related not the Beretta 92F was dreadful.

I don't know shit about guns but one of these is a pretty good deterrant and they are really cool dogs especially if you get them as a puppy.

Get a gun and go to the shooting range to get comfy.
