I played in a $3 tourney tonight at Poker Stars. I finished 24th of 1326.

At one of the tables when the field got into the money I saw at least 15 sets of pocket Aces in about 45 minutes. At another table I saw quad 8s beaten by quad Jacks.

Is there some sort of request that a site can put in for the in the money hands to be exagerrated?

Of course I did not have pocket Aces once all night, but the incidence was amazing.

I don't think it is rigged either. I am a duplicate bridge life master, teacher, and director. We have something called a deal generator. We can request certain types of hands to be included in a set of boards. These hands are of a specific distribution more than anything else.

I thought that a site might be able to request a certain type of hand to be designated when a tourney hit an in the money stage.

online poker is a billion dollar a year industry, and when you stop to consider their expenses vs. what they take it, it's nearly all profit. making certains types of hands occur more often would put all that profit at an unneccessary risk. Imagine what would happen if someone gathering statistics noticed some sort of massive statistical anomaly. Once word of that got out (which it would), they'd stand to lose an absurd amount of business from normal customers who no longer trust the site to hold their money - after all, what kind of sane person trusts a company of cheaters and liars to hold money?

Long story short, they'd have far more to lose (the majority of their business) than they would have to gain (if anything) by rigging the hands to get more action if they ever got caught cheating.
