The Education Of A Fish

I forgot the conversation with the maniac.

So the 44/16 player is getting all over another player, pretty relentlessly, for capping a draw. The other player was obviously much better than him.....meaning he was adequate at best....and kept quiet for most of the berating.

Finally he had enough and lashed back by saying.....
"ur stats say it how ****ty u r"

"i do not cap draws like u"
"does that make me a bad player?"
"lmao"
And then...after a short pause, this is where it gets funny, the maniac continues....
"where do u see my stats?"
"i see my stats"
"i want to know how u see my stats"

And there we have the education of a fish.

Yah, I'm pretty much ok with the verbal abuse. It's best done when it's subtle and they don't even know your abusing them, but I have no problem with letting off some steam. I never mention software though. Best not to let them know it's out there if they're not already using it. Although, for that particular session, I guess it's beneficial to me when I know for sure who's using it and who isn't.

Had my best PLO $50 session ever tonight. 498 hands +$187.40

They're so bad. I did flop pretty well though. I actually lost and split the 2 biggest pots I was in too. Had 50% equity in a 3-way all-in on the one I lost too otherwise it could have been a 6 stack profit tonight.

Short version..biggest winner and biggest loser.

Accepted some donations for an hour at 2/4 LHE 6-max. Kinda surprised at how loose and generally passive/stationy the games are on Stars. A direct opposite of the 1/2 FR games I'd played on mostly the last time I played limit extensively, mostly on Full Tilt a while back.

Finished +10BB.....which I guess is good for an hour. But this hand kinda bothered me near the end. Not for the suckout because it's just gonna happen in Limit, but more so the way it happened......

Hero ($117.00)
UTG+1 ($45.00)
CO ($77.00)
BTN ($43.00)
SB ($228.00)

Pre-flop: (1.5 SB, 6 players) Hero is UTG [As][Qs]
Hero raises, 1 fold, CO calls, 2 folds, BB calls

Flop: [Ah][3d][6d] (6.5 SB, 3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, CO raises, BB folds, Hero 3-bets, CO calls

Turn: [8h] (6.2 BB, 2 players)
Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls

River: [4c] (10.2 BB, 2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets, Hero calls

Final Pot: 12.2 BB
CO shows: [8s][6s]
Hero shows: [As][Qs]

CO wins 11.8 BB ( won +6.2 BB )
BB lost 1.0 BB
Hero lost 5.5 BB

I had been playing 14/4 on this table over 90 hands. Been absolutely card dead at a table of stations. And this clown was actually one of the tigher players at the table, calling an UTG PFR with 86s. Then he raises the flop and I 3-bet because I KNOW I have the best hand. Nails a miracle on the turn. I mean how does he know to raise that flop?

Anyway, running at almost exactly +2BB over the 2K hands of 2/4 LHE I've played through 7 sessions. 5 wins and 2 losses. Pretty happy with that so far.

And lastly, nothing to do with poker, but Willie Randolph must go.

Why?

So many reasons that I'm to frustrated to even get started. It's just about everything. Doesn't stick up for his players, just loves to bring in the worst or coldest possible pitcher in every tight game, etc....

Want to see Lee Mazzilli back in a Met dugout soon. Inject a little fire into this lifeless team.

I took a dump in 2 more Sat's tonight.

- Ran a flush draw + 2 overs (KQs) into the nuts on a T32 flop after raising the limper from the BB. He raised my flop bet and called a shove with 55. 15 outs unimproved.

- Had 3 absolute stations behind me and kept being dealt middle pairs and big Aces with terrible flops.

So instead of just buying into the $200+16 FTOPS event directly, I blew off more than half the buy-in in Satellites today. The hell with it. There's gonna be another FTOPS in another few weeks probably anyway.

Why I Suck At Cash Games.............

Because I don't think I've ever gone on a cash game heater. Not even winning hands I'm not supposed to win, but getting several of the hands that I'm way ahead in to hold up and not getting coolered against a maniac.

Got my ass kicked in the 2/4 LHE game for 20BB. Why? Because I suck. I have no business 3-betting AK in CO when the BB is holding T4s. Of course he's calling that 3-bet cold and flopping trip Tens and then allowing me to catch a K on the turn.

So after I'd had enough of that business, I went to donk around in a $50 NL 6-max game. I moved down because I wanted to just be a little LAGgy and maybe experiment with some things.

Played 4 MTT's in all today and exited each one if the most ridiculous fashion. There must be some software glitch today on both sites that doesn't allow players to see any of the cards. Yet it only negatively affects me.

So today I exited the 4 MTT's I played on hands that were favored by....
83%, 79%, 92%, and 90% on the flop.

That's pretty fuckin hard to pull off, but I guess I was probably do for a go eff myself tournament day.

4 losing days in a row and 13 out of 17 this month.

Every Fuckin Thing I Thought I Knew About LO8 Is Wrong! My Omaha Hi/Lo License Needs To Be Revoked IMMEDIATELY!

Dropped over $360 on the day. Finally understand what good scoop hands mean though. It's when you play a strong hand with hi and lo potential, but flop just good enough to eventually get scooped.

He raised preflop. How could I not have put him on exactly A256? Why could I possibly think I was good for at least half the pot at any time? I'm just asking to get scooped on that turn miracle when I raise with 52% equity on the flop.

The NUTS? Get the FUCK outta here with the nuts and the nut redraw! What kind of game you think we're playing? I got J762 for top and bottom pair. Fuck the nut flush on the turn!
http://weaktight.com/204654
(River raise not actually tilt. I mis-read and thought there was a low on board, plus also thought he mighta been betting a lone 2. I mean he was that stupid.....but not as stupid as me.)

Eh...just an OESD + 2nd nut FD on a high only flop vs a 3 out gutter to hi and backdoor low. No way I'm getting a fold.....or dodging the 3 outter here. Just a lil bit of tilt starting to set in.

JTT2....JTT-effin-2 is what they defend with! I only flop the nut flush draw+nut low draw. So of course he's turning a set. I wanna play this bad and run this good!
