Hmmm now this is getting interesting. This is a very weak bet after potting on the flop. I just gained 4 boat outs but some of my flush outs now make a low. However unless someone was play A23 they aren’t going to have a strong low draw.

At this point I think he is playing the 68, 77, or 99 and is scared. I was really tempted to re-pot however will that get a $25 player to lay down 68, 77 or 99?

UTG bet $3 again. I calls, LP calls.

Another weak bet however there was a str8 on the flop and I don’t have top 2 anymore. I just called because with no low I am getting great odds but I don’t like it.

As for reads UTG is loose with medium agression. LP is loose and very passive (I saw him not raise with the nut flush).

Overall I felt very passive calling bets all the way down. After thinking about it I really think that I should have re-potted the turn. If he is playing a set / str8 that he can't let go of I sitll have a ton of outs and I do have position on him.

I think you hit it on the head here, by just calling the turn you are giving someone odds to call behind you with a low draw which you dont want here since your low is now counterfitted a lot of the outs that you are counting now make someone a low, a raise should force the player behind you to fold a low fearing a rerasise from the bettor. After you just call the turn you have to just call the river, that king sucks for your hand.

I think the typical $25 donk would be betting out a lot harder if they have a set or made straight there. That's why I like the raise. If they have a hand you'll know about it, if not they will most likely let it go.

One thing I rarely see at that level is a player skilled enough to hit their low and let it go to a big bet on the river. In other words, you will have almost no fold equity with a big river bet, but you do have some it you hit it on the turn. Once in a blue moon you'll make them lay down 2nd or 3rd nut low, but not often.

JD FYI the player did have a set of 7's but I think that you are correct that a raise is still the best play. If I get called then I still have a ton of outs, if the player raises I can let it go, and most likely I can get that player to fold.
