Yeah it hasnt been a good day, I tried to go for a run to clear my head and about a mile away from my place it started raining. Raining in San Diego in July is unheard of, good timing for me I guess.

Yeah sounds like bad news. My GF of 3+ yrs and I brokeup recently, and its sortof wierd for the very first moments, but then you start realizing that 'hey! Now i can go out and do whatever the fuck i please!' And then it starts looking a little sunnier outside.

At least now when you DO get your car fixed, you can hightail it on down to the nearest glory hole or handjob-traffic-stop, or better yet VEGAS, and not feel bad about acting like a the cad and the bounder that youve always wanted to be!

Also agree with you on tourneys. The worst player in the place was on my left and busted me, and made it to the final 3...I was UTG with JJ and raised about 1k in chips (which was about 5x BB. I did this because he called pretty much any 2 and figured i could get it HU with him with a raise like that unless someone else had a powerhouse, and he called off about 1/3 of his stack with Q5o and catches the Q. My final allin hand I had AKs and pushed (mind you i was not that small of a stack either) and got called by AQ and Q8. Who won? LOL who do you think? Q8 of course! Oh wait, but he was sooted! oh wait so was i. Hey come to think of it it was the same suit. Fancy that!

Yeah Mecos you are pretty much correct on both counts. I do need to go on some more runs and get my ass back in shape. School and poker has pretty much been my life for a while and I have been neglecting working out, I am up to over 210 which is the biggest I have ever been in my life. I guess at some point I am going to start as you put it act go out and act like a cad. I am going to Vegas this weekend but I think I'm going to stick to poker and and leave the skirt chasing to another day. Hell after 5 plus years I'm not sure if I even have any game. I guess we will find out at some point.

As for your tournament gripe, I have gone back through my spread sheet, these are the hands that I have been knocked out of my last 10 tournaments with. AA 2, KK, AK 2, AJ, QQ, A9. Every single time I had the best hand or was a coin flop. I dont think I have enough blind luck to win in tournaments.

Well away from all the other drama going on in my life. I am also heading to Vegas tommorrow for the weekend. Hopefully some of my sets will actually hold up this time and I can go back to actually making money.

Got back from Vegas last night. Overall a pretty sucessfull trip. I played 13 hrs of poker and made $1182. The trip was a lot of fun. Instead of a poker trip this one turned into a drunken party trip. I played 9 hrs of poker on saturday at the 2/5 at MGM but that was almost all the poker we played. When we first got there we decided we wanted to drink so we all dat down at the 1/2 at the Flamingo and played to get free drinks and that was all the poker we played. We were supposed to come home sunday night but we met some girls from Nebraska that talked us into staying one more night and partying with them. I got home and slept about 12 hrs last night.

As for poker report, I dont remember much about the flamingo game. The only good news is that the players at 1/2 games are so bad that, even hammered I'm a better than most of them. I did pull one drunken stupidity, in trying to much my cards from the 4 seat, I put to much juice on my flip and missed the dealer by about 30 degees to the right and lauched my cards off the table. I guess it was obvious that it was a drunken mistake because everyone thought it was funny. I did make about $100 in 4 hrs of play, plus 7-10 seven and sevens.

Day2 MGM 2/5 500 max. I sat down at noon at a very juicy table, the first pot I saw was over $1000. I ended up in a very bad seat, there was a guy from Texas who was a total maniac. He raised almost every pot, and not just $30-$40 which was a normal raise but he would raise to $80 or $100. The bad thing was that I was to to his left so. I barely got to see any hands. I wanted to make a play at him, but the problem was he wouldnt fold. Someone else tried to reraise him with AJ figuring they had the best hand and he would fold. This guy called all in with 83 off and flopped a 3. I pretty much played 3 hands in the 2 hrs he was at the table. He finally busted out dropping about $2000, he rallyed back up to $1500 and then bluffed it all off on the river with king high agaisnt top set. I played for a couple minutes after he left but he had busted the two other fish at the table so when he left the table was dead. I took a break and spent a couple hours in the sports book watching baseball.

Day2 MGM continued. I got back and there were 2 new tables of 2/5 so I sat down at a new table. Hand 1, I raise $60 from the button with KK after 5 or 6 limpers. Get 2 callers flop is 1032, short stack who has $150 left pushes all in. I call he has 99 and misses. Hand #2 Different short stack who has about $200 left raises to $20 from UTG. I look down at A , both blinds also call. Flop is K . Both blinds check raiser goes all in. I call both blinds fold turn is ., river is . Moron turns over two red three and one outs me on the river. Ugggggg. Next big hand we have new player at the table who is another maniac he has $300 to start the hand. Again I look down at KK, I limp from 2nd position. Maniac bumps it to $80 and 4 players call. I reraise all in. Maniac thinks about it and calls everyone else folds, maniac has Q3 suited, he doesnt make his hand and I win a huge pot. Next big hand. I am utg with 44, I limp good player in co makes it $30 to go, one blind calls, I call and the player behind me calls. Flop is A22. I check expecting someone to bet and I can fold. Preflop raiser also checks. Turn is my 4, sweet 4's full. I bet $50 trying to make it look like a steal, Mp raises to $250. I think about it and push all in. He thinks for a while and folds. At this point we both had about $1500 behind us and I was afraid that if I just called I wasnt going to be able to get his stack on the river. I was praying he had a 2. He told me he has AK and was planning to check raise the flop. Later in the day I got KK for the 3rd time and got paid off by QQ. Total day was a litte over $1000 in 9.5 hrs. Kind of weird but in 13.5 hrs of play I never saw AA and I didnt flop a single set, thought this turned one made me some good money.

On a personal note is was kind of fun to single in Vegas. We has a pretty crazy weekend which included diving into the fountain in front on Paris, in front of a crowd of people. Fun trip and I made money.

Sounds like a great trip. I am going to Vegas in a couple weeks. Are the Mirage and MGM the preferred games? Any other suggestions?
