Hi all

Getting absolutely crippled again on the tables, really awful run and lost to yet ANOTHER one outer today (fifth of the year and third in less than a month!) and I think this is starting to affect my play and also, of late, my attitude (very ambivalent and increasingly detached from playing) so I think it might do me good to have a break from serious playing. I took a few days off this week but having another decent-sized loss tonight makes me think I maybe need to break for a week or so, perhaps till august even. I guess that's the good thing about not playing full time, it's not needed to pay the bills, although I could certainly do with the cash, can always get by fine without.

Anyhow, will be dropping by here on a regular basis (probably not far off daily) so i'll still be in contact on the forums, PMs, and my email is born_to_knitAThotmail.com as you all possibly know! So I'll still be posting.

Right, best of luck everyone, lets hope my luck turns around in the interim!

that's what i've been doing as I hit a bad run so I decided to take a break. It worked last time and I'm sure it will work for you. Plus, think how lucky you are to be up money. I'm down for this current month.

Ouch I'm down on the tables for the last calendar month, although a week and a bit of that was at the end of June where I lost rather a lot. Most of the $900 or so this month that I've won has been bonuses. But, as you rightly say, it's nice to be up, at least! I'm going to spend a little time getting all my accounts in order (as I did during my last long break in December) and try to come back afresh in August.

You might recall I posted a hand earlier this year with the worst beat possible.... Had QQ, flopped quads and lost to A turn, A river against AA, that was beyond wierd my friend ... That to date is my only NL one outer, as far as I can recall (probably wrong though - guess I had some in 2004); though not the first time I've lost with flopped quads, I slow played it a while back at Crypto and lost to a runner runner straight flush d'oh....
