Was down to the last two with blinds at 300-600, he pretty much pushed every hand with a jack or higher. I dont have any time to wait for a premium hand or I risk blinding out. Is there any strategy to this or do you just call with what you get and hope for the best?

Stacks were around 7.5k each. I play on UB.

I'm definately not tight heads up. I play very aggressively from 4 players down. I think that was part of the problem, he didnt know how to react to aggressive play and I couldnt figure out how to settle him down. If I pushed he called anyway. It was really a luck fest. I dont normally play like that, my heads up game is pretty solid but I couldnt come up with a plan of attack for this guy.

I'd probably just push or call w/ my first decent hand and hope for the best...

I know it's crappy advice, but I don't know how much better you're gonna get, as every steal he makes is taking a decent amount of your chips...

you need to slow him down

Sometimes when people start doing that I just say easy tiger, wanna show me some skill? They either go on tilt, or slow down. If they are on tilt, find a pair or some overs and push and play.

Read my topic called Fun with an A-hole and see how I dealt with one guy. Not the best advice, but it worked that time.

If you're heads up with 300/600 blinds and the guy is going all in on virtually every hand, that guy might have been me, because I think that's the right way to play a SNG.

I think the obvious answer is to call with almost anything. If he's pushing with 95% of his hands and you're calling with 75% of your hands, you'll usually have a better hand when the chips get in the middle, and there's only a 1/16 chance that you'll have to fold two or more times.

It'ls not really "maniacal" play because he has +900 EV every time you fold and only figures to be a 60/40 underdog on average when you call, so -20% of the lower of yall's stacks in EV. If you both have 5000 chips, that's -1000... so even in his worst case scenerio, you would have to call at least 50% of the time for that to be a losing play.
