ok, i know how to play this hand in limit, but I'm clueless in the weird world of off beat betting structures (no limit) y'all play.

Please tell me the straight forward ABC way to play this. And yes i know it depends.

3 folds, Hero raises to t180, 2 folds.

You played it right. You have one of hte best drawing hands. 10X the BB is a good raise from the button. I limp with AK from EP when the blinds are small, in case I want to re-raise or let the hand go depending on the bettor.

You can slow play it but then your just going to lose a lot of chips to a hand that you shouldn't have let see a flop in the first place.

The hardest thing about big slick is getting away from it. If you raise 10X the BB and then get re-raised by a solid player you have to let the hand go early in a MTT. Your not going to win the trn at this stage but you sure can lose it.

All this advise is pre-flop. If you just get called and you have position and it is checked to you after the flop hit or miss you have to play it like you have a big pair. "Bet the Pot" after the flop if it is checked to you. If you only check then the caller is going to bet out with his pair of 8's on the turn. If you missed the flop and your faced with calling a big bet you have to let it go.

What's the play in limit? Bet/raise every round? That is why you have to play it the same way in NL just cost you a lot more chips if your wrong.

Thanks for the great answer TK. 10x was the bet i was going for but that slider thingy just wouldnt cooperate. Thats another reason I like limit.

I wasnt sure if that bet was too much or too little.

Warning: limit talk follows-- ABC, raise preflop, raise flop, probably raise turn, go with your read on the river. I would only limp that against poor players when I have a decent table image.

since you are playing good people in the BTP tourney, why make it so much preflop? I try to make it the same amount no matter what so I would have made it 80-100 preflop because that is what I would do if I was stealing the blinds or had a legit hand. Against a typical BTPer, you would think that anyone who calls or raises that bet, you are really screwed.

I made it so much because I didnt want to have to play against btpers post flop w/ AK. I figured to take those monster blinds ( ) and just show these guys how good a limiteer can be. Bwahahahahaha.
