Haven't been playing many tournaments recently, and those not very well.

This report illustrates many of the aspects of tournaments I hate. Sit there for 3 hours either folding or trying to scoot as many chips into the middle I can.

There's clearly more to it than this, but I have no idea what!?

I give all the interesting hands, and a summary of all the dull hands in between. Comments on when I should be thinking about stealing appreciated!

Hope this was more fun to read than it was to write!

[These are hands I folded, (R) indicates a raise beforehand ... I only put it in as an excuse for why I didn't play]

Hand 3 (T1500): Raise 2 limpers to 110 from MP with QQ. 1 calls behind, 1 limper calls.
Limper leads for 60 into 350 odd pot, I raise to 550, both fold.

Hand 4 (T1810): Limp with JTs, bluff 60 into missed flop (K85), check fold turn.

Hand 5 (T1730): Open raise to 70 with QQ, 1 caller, someone raises to 310 behind me.
I think then fold. Reraised shows JJ after taking the pot down on the flop. Ugh!

Hand 6 (T1660): Limp utg with QJs (ugh). 3 to the flop. I check fold AKx flop.

Hand 18 (T1435): MP (T2K) open raises to 90, I call, 2 others call.
Flop 456, 2 diamonds. BB (T1.5K) leads for 60, PFR calls, I raise to 615, BB pushes, PFR folds.
I call (730, > 2K pot). He shows 64s, but I spike a T on the turn to go to 3K chips. Ugh!

Hand 21 (T3095): I open raise to 105 from EP, MP (870) raises to 330. He's quite bad.
I reraise all in and he calls. He has AJo and I move to T3980.

Hand 33 (T3795): I complete after 2 limpers with A8o, flop 245, 2 spades.
Checked to river when I check call 90 on A2457 board. He has A9o.

Hand 34 (T3695): EP min raises to 100, 1 caller, I reraise to 475 with JJ. Both fold.

Hand 35 (T3970): I raise to 175 with AJs from MP and take the blinds.

Hand 36 (T4045): I call a min raise w A7d, flop 458 all clubs. I check fold.

Flop 679 2 spades. Checked down. Turn J, checked to me I bet 500, BB calls.
River Q, BB moves in for 1430. I fold??? Ugh!

Hand 38 (T3270): I raise from EP with AQo and take the blinds.

Hand 39 (T3420): I limp UTG with AA, MP raises to 450, I reraise to 1.5K, MP moves in (3670).
I call and hold up vs 88.

Great bit of chat ... MP: "how did I know I was getting knocked out right now",
BB from hand 37: "cause you went all in with 88?"

Hand 43 (T6840): I raise to 350 with AQo from MP, MP+1 moves in for 1025. I call.
He has 99 and wins the race.

Hand 44 (T5815): I raise to 350 with JJ from E/MP, LP (2380) reraises. We get it in.
I win a race vs AK to move to T8295.

Moved to a new table. This table was a bit tougher I recall.

Hand 63 (8145): SB completes, I check with A3o. Flop 345 2 spades, I call 200 on
flop, fold to 400 on turn. Ugh!

Moved to another table. This table got very tight about 1/2 way though level 5.

Hand 64 (T7845), I complete with 55, BB (15359) raises to 450, and I call (?).
Flop 75J, 2 clubs. I check raise (?) and we get it all on the flop. He has KJh and I double through.

Hand 65 (T15690): I steal the blinds from MP with 87s.

Hand 68 (T15915): I limp on BB, 2 limpers. Flop K84r, checked. Turn 2h, I bet 525, EP calls.
River Kh. We check it down and he takes it with 89s. Ugh!

Hand 103 (T13815): There's been lots of blind stealing. M/LP (5K) has been a frequent raiser and raises to 900.
I have A9o, and decide to snap off a bluff. He has QQ and doubles through me. Ugh!

Hand 109 (T8795): raiser from hand 103 raises to 1050 from cut-off. I reraise
to 3300 from BB with AQo and he folds.

Moved to a different table. There are 3 bigger stacks from me. Later on Carl Olsen (3K)
and Gank (12K) are moved to this table. Again, blind steals are order of the day.

Hand 125 (T10145): I limp two off the button with 89s. Only the blinds play.

Hand 128 (T10945): I raise to 1400 from UTG with JJ and take the blinds.

Hand 129 (T11545): In the BB with A7s. SB completes. Flop A36 2 diamonds. I bet 800 he calls.
Turn and river Jd Qc. Checked down any he has 65s (not diamonds), MHIG.

Hand 130 (T12745): UTG limps, I complete with 87s. Flop 4AA. Checked. Turn 3.
I bet 1200, EP min raises. I type "66" and fold. He types "full".

During the break, MP (6K) has said he's going to get aggressive

Hand 138 (10K): MP raises to 2K, cut-off calls (5K), I raise to 9K with TT from SB.
BB thinks for ages and folds AQ. Both call. MP has Q9o, CO has A8s. My hand holds up and I have 23K.

Hand 158 (T28710): UTG (3.6K) raises to 2100. Folded to me in SB with KQo. I feel UTG has been a bit aggressive
of late, so I reraise. He calls and I bet 78s.

(Gank has got aggressive and is scooting his chips in the middle at every chance. He gets up to 26K
but gets caught a few time, hits AA with KK, and got knocked out with AQ vs AK)

Hand 185 (T29530): I want to get in on the blind steals, and raise to 4200 from K3o.
BB reraises all in (8560). I call (pot odds?) and he has 99. I suck out with a rivered K.

Hand 191 (T36750): EP (33K) raises to 3600. I call with AKo.
Checked all the way (789JJ) and we chop (he has AKo). Ugh - what a wuss I am!

Moved to another table. I stay at this table for the rest of the tourney. We 6-7 most of the time.
Most people have about 30K. We're just past the bubble, that I've completely wasted.

I have observed that the two players to my left are very tight.
