Brian it was last months $100 empire reload. Yes I was a little overagressive with 10's, I would have just called but I was trying to isolate the moron, which I guess worked and I got all my money in with by far the best hand.

Man the last couple of weeks have been freakin horrible and I guess today I let it get to me. I already wrote about breaking up with my ex and my car breaking another transmission. Well to keep this story short, I flew home to my moms last weekend and got my brothers car which is another honda accord since it is going to be awhile until I have my car fixed. I have AAA and 100 miles of free towing but the shop that installed the newly broken transmission 4 months ago is 140 miles from my place and the car almost works, it will go into 2nd gear but only occasionally will drop into 3rd or 4th. So the plan was to drive it 40 miles so I didnt have to pay for towing and have Mitcheze drive the working car so I had a way to get home after AAA picked up the car. We made it about 5 miles from my house before the "working" car started smoking from under the hood. By the time we got it to a parking lot it had now dumped all of its coolent. It looked like it was coming from the side of the engine block ie Headgasket. So today I got to drive broken transmisison car 40 miles to get it towed and then drive back to headgasket car and get it towed. In the process I left my cell phone in the transmission car. I dont have a home phone, I use my cell for everything. How much is all this going to cost me, shit I dont want to know. Now what does all this have to do with poker, well as a wrote in a previous post. I shouldnt play poker when I'm stressed. I guess the good news is I played Mitcheze in our first heads up match.

I'm sorry to make this a bitching journal, that really wasnt the point but its been a bad week and I need to vent. So here is whiny rant #2

I played my second match vs Mitcheze and I should have known by now that putting my money in with the best of it was a really bad idea. Since we both thought it would be fun w played the second round in Omaha 8.

First hand of note. I raise with A2K7 suited to spades. The pot is now 120. Flop is perfect for me K78 with two spades. Top and bottom, nut flush draw. I bet pot 120, mitch calls . Pot is now 360. Turn is the worst possible card for my hand and off suit A. I bet pot again 360, he reraises to 720. I think and fold. He shows mw 654X. Any other freakin turn card I bet pot again and when he raises I push all in. And he is drawing dead to a split. With him having only 6 outs to chop.

Hand 2 Iam now down to less than 1000 after hand 1 Mitch raises I look down at 2367 double suited. I call Flop is A 47. He bets pot, I raise pot knowing he is freerolling me. He pushes al in and I call. I miss all my draws and we chop. I dont think he is even a good enogh player to understand how horrible his play is here. I have a huge wrap draw that is freerolling since I have the uncounterfittable low.

Final hand I dont remeber the actual hand but, I flop a open eneded str8 draw a pair and a flush draw. I bet the pot he calls. Turn misses my hand and adds the . I bet pot again,he raises I have very few chips left, I call he turns over AA4X. Of course I miss my 20 somrthing outs. Game over

I took some time and decided to play a $20 STG on FT. I didnt get anything for hands. Finally I got KK. I had 900 chips left. Blinds were 100/200. BB of course calls with [10h]. He flops an open ended flush draw makes the str8 on the river.

I dont know what the hell is going on. I know I shouldnt be as frusterated as I am, the stress of everything else is getting to me a little. Without a car I am pretty much stuck in the house for the weekend without much more to do than play poker. As much fun as I had in round 1 vs TW. I really outplayed the hell out of Mitch and got shafted in the process. I dont know what it is, but it seems like every time Mitch and I play heads up I take some kind of string of horrible bad beats, it seems like every time we put the money in I have the best hand I he wins more than I do. No more poker for me tonight, I'm going to bed, before my computer gets to learn to fly.

So I lied, I went for a swim in the pool in my complex, than spent some time in the hot tub and started to feel better so I decided to play some more. I found a couple of really juicy $50 party tables. I flopped 5 sets in 450 hands and made $220. Guess all it takes is to blow off some steam and getting back on the horse. Anyway this time I'm really going to bed. Not much to do tommorrow, I wil probably go for a run in the morning and then play some more party.

Apparently winning two days in a row is not allowed at party here were 3 fun hands at party. Bye bye to all the money I made yesterday, I guess I'm still up a couple of bucks. Hand 2 just sucks but I cant do much about it. Hand 3 is against a total moron and I actually cursed out loud when I saw the river. I was pretty sure I was in trouble.

I played a little Party $50 tables. Won about $25, I still dont have a working car so I'm only playing online. I really miss playing live, I have realized how much I really dont like online poker. I can win consistantly at the $50 tables, but it really takes no skill, play rock tight, wait for a monster and let the idiots pay you off. I have been trying to play while I'm waiting for my car to be fixed. I have been lasting about 2 hrs and then get bored and quit. Really strange fact I have played 1380 hands since 8/1 on party and I have gotten AA 0 times. I'm not complaining I'm still up pretty much the same BB/100 for those hands, but it is kind of weird. Hopefully my car will be done tommorrow so I can get out of the damn house.

On a personal note, I am going to be buying a new car. The 87 accord just isnt cutting it anymore. It keeps freakin breaking, it has no AC and I'm paranoid that it is going to leave me stranded in the middle of nowhere on one of my trips back to Nor. Cal. I am going to be taking about $4000 out of my bankroll to pay for it. I'm looking at an accord around 2000. It is really going to hurt my bankroll but I think its worth it.

You reall took a beating on those 3 hands you posted earlier. That 2 on the turn is some crap luck for sure.


Agreed that online poker gets hella boring. Been playing some sitngos though and they do break up the monotony for me. You have to admit when you get to about the final 5 it gets exciting. the blinds go up, you have to steal and have coinflips. I don't get that in cash games

Those 3 hands were pretty bad, but thats party for you. The second hand just sucks, the villian played the hand well, its one of those really rare boards that you can slow play a set on. Just a really bad turn card for my hand. THe other two are just well, they are bad party players who dont know better and got lucky. I am actually currently playing a MTT on paradise to break the monotony, I'm in 22 palce with 128 left 500 or so started. Tthe good news is my car is done but my roomate isnt here to give me a ride to pick it up. I may just call a cab. It looks like another Vegas trip is in the works for the weekend so maybe some 2/5 with dumb tourists will make me feel better and maybe pay for some of the car stuff.

I dont know why but it has been a while since I posted in my journal so I have a little catching up to do.

First round of play was last thursday. I played a really loose 1/3 nl game at the village club. Three big hands. Hand 1 I raise from the button with flop is and king with two spades. Checked to me I bet $20 get two callers, turns is the 2nd heart, checks to me again I make it $40 get one caller, river is an offsuit 5. Checks to me I check behind the moron has and rivered two pair.

Hand 2 I get lag from ep makes it $10, 4 players call so I call. Flop is JJ6, I check and utg bets out $40, now I'm pretty sure he has a PP. Calling station #1 calls. Turn brings the second spade. I check, bet is $40 again, calling station calls I raise all in. Both call the preflop raiser has QQ and the calling station has a flush draw. Both miss and I scoop a #250 pot.

Hand #3 two hands later I am the button and look down at AK suited again. Raised to $10 from Ep two callers then calling station moves in for his last $50. I think about it and moved over the top all in. The guys who's had QQ before calls as does the calling station. QQ guy has , caling station has 88. I miss completely by QQ guy makes a one card str8 and wins the pot.

I ended up down $40 or so for the session.
