Well got no love in the BTP HORSE tourny tonight and finished a lowly 7th. Really don't like the tourny structure there as the blinds start out so damn high a pretty big crapshoot in the end. Perhaps I'll drop them a line and see what they say about adjusting it, probably a futile effort but never know until you write.

Speaking of bourbon... does anyone like Booker's (Booker Noe's?)?

It used to be only given as gifts to employees (2 bottles, iirc) until about 10 years ago or so, and the black market was fierce. Now they sell it outright, as I suppose the market was there for a select bourbon.

It definitely has a kick (it's uncut), but goes nicely on the rocks, and can be sipped in the right circumstances (usually with food -- like a steak -- for me).

I like the Knob, too.

Clocking in at 41 straight winning days now so quite a run although mostly very short days (ca. 55 hours total and just a little over +3K during this run). Had 47winning days straight earlier in the year so hopefully going to eclipse that.

Just another week or so until I return back home to Caracas and have to get back to putting in some serious hours.

No poker again today. Took the kids to Six Flags yesterday and they had a real good time although my little girl is still not tall enough to ride alot of the rides. I only rode one big one, The Titan, that wasn't there on my last visit 20 years ago. When I got off that damn thing I needed a chiropractor. Without a doubt the best roller coaster I have ever ridden and I have hit most of the big ones but it just tore my back up.

Packed up my things this evening into 2 big containers that I am sure are overweight as I hurt my back again loading them into the car. Leaving D/FW tomorrow at around 1:30 for Miami and then over nighting in the airport for an early departure for Caracas on Thursday morning. Going to be a long two days.

Made it back home yesterday. Not too bad of a trip just long. Played a little today after a 5 day break. Things normal as usual here in Venezuela as elections are coming up soon and they found some C-4 on some politicians car today

What a shitty day this was overall. Managed to get up to about 200 after 2 hours of bonus clearing at the Cryptos and then hit the second and third sessions and after clearing about half of the bonuses managed to lose 30.00. Just took a shitload of beats with my overpairs running into higher overpairs or better yet hands that I dominated yet still lost too. Everytime I CR the flop or turn with the best hand I get squashed by a three outer on the river. Guess I shouldn't complain too badly as I still managed 170 win in 4.5 hours. Still got the winning streak going at 47 days, looking to eclipse Dimaggio

On a bad note went to replenish my beer supply today and there is some god damn law about not selling alcohol after 12 the day before the elections here all the way to 12 the day following the elections. I guess I'll just have to live with that as it is a far cry better than those damn blue laws that want to make me strangle the first preacher I see on the streets after getting denied my alcohol purchase because it's 11:45 am and they can't sell it until 12, what a crock of shit. I'll take my chances on the high and mighty striking me down for purchasing alcohol on the lord's day, just ring the damn purchase up. .

Played a wide variety of games today from 36, 510, 2040 limit to 100 NL and managed wins in all of them for a change although I played a pretty donkified hand in 100 NL that cost me a stack when I ran QQ up against KK and AA. Raised UTG 3.00 UTG +1 raised to 5, one caller and button makes it 30.00. Well only a bonehead is going to call that raise or go all in but yes that's what I did and so long 100. Also lost KK versus AA to a guy that was seeing 33% of the flops and raising about half of those so I don't think I could escape that hand as after I reraised him preflop he went all in and called, so long another 100.00. But when the dust settled about 250 hands in total I was up 41.00 in the 100 NL game. I played pretty well except that one really bonehead move.
