im 21.. from canberra in australia.. and i like to drink alot and play poker... oh and work and play guitar and many other fun activities..

ill hopefully be writing my goals and other shit in here.. as i feel its a good idea to get a alot of stuff down on "paper".. so that hopefully later on i can look back and see how far ive come.. in more ways than just my poker career..

my mid to short -long term ( however long that is) goal is to be able to reguarly cashout money from my poker bankrolls and to then put that money into something like shares or managed funds and other such crap..

breif history as a poker player.. -

played play money at party poker... then deposited $100 and lost it... hmmm next week another $100.. hmm lost that too... ok im doing something wrong..

read a heap of online stuff.. and then deposited $100 on pacific poker.. and BAM.. within 4 weeks of 50nl i was up to $400... ok so i was playing well outside a comfotable bankroll... but as a player i knew maybe %10 of what i know now..

to my credit i played tight preflop... maybe 20- 30 %vpip.. i didnt have poker tracker or even know what it was yet.. but that is how bad the players at pacific were.. (still are)

i first deposited at pacific 6 months ago... right now my bankroll at pacific is $420.. at one stage i was up to $1200 and then tryed to move up to $100 nl.. after only 1000 hands i had to drop back to 50 nl with a BR of $800...

so i lost 4 buy ins after moving up... meh.. the players were terrible and i knew it.. i made some mistakes and took some bad beats.. blah blah blah...

in the meantime i had deposited $100 at UB....
how good are the miniview tables... !!!!

so that was about a month ago where i deposited at UB and at the sametime had a BR of $800 at pacific....

my current BR at pacific is $420... ( after cashing out $500 due to me wanting cash.! )
my current BR at UB is $400...

i havent been playing much pacific since i deposited at UB as i love playing 3 tables at once compared to the ULTRA SLOW pacific 1 table at a time...

at UB ive employed specific bankroll requirements for each limit...
below are my stats for each limit as i moved up

NL $ 0.02 500 hands- vpip 25-- WSF 30 -- - BB/ 100 hands 30..
NL $0.10 -- 5k hands -- VPIP 22 --- WSF 25 --- bb/ 100 hands 9...
NL $25 -- 9k ish hands - VPIP 17 --- WSF 26 bb/100 hands 7

ok so my winrate per 100 hands has dropped each level.. this is expectable but i hope to hit a limit where i can sustain a good rate and then improve as i learn..

so my goal is to get my bankrolls up to the stage where i can compfortable play $100 NL and have a good winrate..

iwant to build my bankroll at UB to at least $1000- 1500 before playing $100 NL and then my goal is to cash out $500 every time my BR gets to $2000... leaving me with $1500..

having $1500 while playing $100 NL i feel is very comfortable and shouldnt be a problem...

the only issue i see with this goal is that once i have a BR of say $1500 - $2000 i will want to play $200 NL....... im often accused of being too competitive and i can just tell that when i reach i BR that is close to being able to play $200 i will rationalize a good reason to step up....

sigh... what a rant

im basically not even playing my cards this sesh... ive check raised 3 weak bets with nothing and taken the pot each time..

hopefully when i actually get a decent hand i get some action from all the shit hands ive shown at the river after betting the flop, being called and then checking to the river..

urrrg i just layed down a nut flush draw on the flop after a guy completely overbet the pot...

sure enough the flush hits on the turn and what happens??? there are 2 guys left who both go allin and show smaller flushes....

it doesnt change the fact that he bet $10 into a $3 pot and even with implied odds i couldnt call... i didnt know some other retard would call

the play at UB at this time of day on a saturday is unbelieveable... its sat morning here so without doing any maths at all id guess it must be friday night in the states..

if i was a gambling man id be happy to play against a bunch of tools..

on an interesting side note im now down 2 buy ins... my won at SD is the incredible number of %12... with a went to showdown of only %15 its not like im showing down shit hands...

and can someone please explain to me how that fuking crazy frog ringtone is #1 in the aussie charts?

i definately think that my usual aggressive game doesnt work over the weekend as my continuation bets and bluffs get called every time... we both check to the river and i get shown a hand like K3 offsuit with a a 3 on the turn being good enough for the pot...

table is only 3 handed as every one else has busted out

i get Q[h] J[h] on button.. i limp. SB completes.. BB announeces he is all in without checking his cards..

he was small stacked so it wasnt much to call... SB calls....

flop comes Q J 4... rainbow... SB bets... i raise, he goes all in...

so we have a 3way show down with a sidepot...

BB who didnt look at his cards has A A..
SB who i know would go all in with TP no kicker has the mighty holding of Q 9 offsuit!

so who wins the hand?

OK, looks like I've got to stand up for my country here. Not only does an aussie suckout a dream flop in the WSOP when totally dominated to win the dam thing, but your cricketers have mastered the suckout of suckouts to steal a draw like the convicts that you lot are. But our suckout was even better last week...haha

Trash talking aside, what an awesome series it is so far. Not watched a test series like this ever between any 2 sides, I think both teams have taken test cricket to a new level this series.

have managed to win 10 -15 small pots just with well timed bets so all in all im happy ive played well with a dry run

I have 63 hands with ya so far...and noticed your post flop aggression is 0. You should be getting a pocket pair about 1 in 17 hands...that's definitely not normal, heh. Hang in there...they will start falling eventually.

Post-flop aggression will read as zero if you've never called. That is, if you only raise or fold, your aggression will read ZERO. I forget the formula for aggression... # of raises divided by # of calls, I think? So zero calls... you divide your raises by zero... and get zero.

since you probably havent seen me call a raise i cant have a post flop AF yet

for example (bets + raises) / calls = AF

so 10/ 0 = infinity or 0 i guess...
but once your PT sees me call it will be 10 /1

giving me an AF of 10..

do you use GT+ ?

if you dont i reccomend you check it out..
it shows whether or not u have 0 or infinite AF
which is a huge difference...
