alright, so i am still trying to get a handle on good post-flop play and have been wondering about what kind of situations to use the check-raise. I have been looking at my opponents stats at the table, and it is not a play that is used very much at the $25 level. Now i know it isn't something you want to get carried away with, but i was just wondering what some of your opinions were on what makes the situation a good one for the check-raise. Here is a hand where i used it, feel free to blast away if i made a fishy play. I am seat 4.

i like it do the same thing. If he didn't have that wrap draw, you are a huge favorite and you protect your hands from draws. If he does have a wrap, you have a good chance of still winning. Plus, you got some dead money in there.

these are mostly the hands that make or break your session. If you get a few hands like this that don't go your way, it could be a long day but its more likely that they will go your way so its the way to make big money.

Check raising is a very good play in PLO because there's usually something out there that'll cause someone to bet. However, you need to be aware that giving free cards can be death in this game, so you need to be very sure someone else will bet - make sure you've either got an aggressive player behind you, or a large number of opponents (at least 3 or 4) increasing your chances of a successful CR.
