I couldn't bring myself to raise or fold this hand for such a price. Why do I have to get 2 sets?

I suspected I would be up against the nut flush draw with all those calls but with those odds, i chased. I didn't want to max raise the turn but I wanted to find out some information. So I knew he either had a set or the flush. I wasn't betting that river unless the Ac hit. Could I get away?

Preflop raiser raises a lot and usually follows it up with a bet. I was gonna raise him max but the cold caller in between scared me. Do you fold, call or raise that flop?

I wouldn't be against folding the flop, but since the bet is so small it's worth to take one off and see what develops. On the turn, I think that one of them must have me beat. You don't have odds to chase your 2-outer. In these situations I'm not a huge fan of raising for information. If you think there is a decent chance that your opponent has a smaller flush, check-calling might be better: you don't waste more than necessary if you are beat and your calling might induce your opponent to invest more money with a weaker hand.

Scenario 1: your raise earns you the $10 pot.
Scenario 2: you get called and have to fold to a river bet (or worse, pay off a milking bet). This is a $6 or more loss.
Scenario 3: you get called and win showdown: $16 win.
Scenario 3: you get reraised and have to fold: $6 loss.

I just don't think that you are in scenario 1 or 3 enough times to make this +EV. Again, I might change my judgement if I'd have a read on these guys, saying that this weak betting really means a small flush.
Also, even though your raise is mathematically attractive, in the sense that for only $6 you may get your info or win the pot, it really tells your opponents you don't have the nuts, and it allows them to make the correct decisions... an opponent with the bare A might reraise you there if he smells weakness.

You got lucky in the sense that your opponent was slowplaying to a ridiculous extent, and that he didn't bet the river. Against a sensible opponent you don't get away this easily...
