"INCONCEIVABLE" !!!!

Well, I just wrapped up a mind-boggling marathon session of 2 hours and 11 minutes, making $189 in the process. God, I'm fucking pathetic! I also got about a quarter of the way towards clearing the $100 reload bonus, which is always nice when I remember to get it in time.

I'm also now on a TWO DAY STREAK of not tilting! I'm really happy about that, but I also realize that some of you fuckers will probably scoff at me being happy about a measly little two-day streak. Well, if you're the type of sick, deranged asshole that really gets your kicks out of scoffing, go ahead and scoff. I won't be offended. You sick fuck.

Anyway, I'll grant you that I've still made mistakes, but they haven't been tilt-related, and I've been very good about objectively analyzing my play and looking for spots that I could've played better, rather than whining about bad beats and stuff.

Okay, I gotta run some errands and then start pre-gaming for the MUCH-ANTICIPATED-SUPER-ULTIMATE-AWE-INSPIRING-TW-MEGA-CHALLENGE-FEST tonight, or whatever the fuck it's being called these days. As I've said elsewhere, I'll announce the table in the anything goes section around 8:20 ET, it'll be a .02/.04 limit table on stars, and...well, the more the merrier! See ya there.

You did what you wanted to do and made a living for 7 months. Overall, its a better run than i've made as I've had a part time job for most of the time through my run and its still rocky. Also, its good that you aren't too proud to go back to your job because if you really feel its the right thing to do, it should be done. Save up some money, continue to play well and grow and bankroll and learn from your mistakes. If you want to make a run at it again later, you will know what you need to do it.

Anyway, just a quick update because I gotta pack up my stuff to visit the folks for a long weekend. Won't be getting back till Sunday night. It'll be nice to see them, but it's also a bit frustrating because it means that between work and the visit, it was a pretty short poker week. Ah well.

I played for a couple hours yesterday, and didn't have a very good session at all. Things were going pretty smooth right up until I took about 4 rough beats in a row. It started with a real beaut that piers got to see. I was on the cut-off with 44, and the player directly on my right open-raises. The guy opens in LP with a lot of shit hands, so I 3-bet him (what with being the savvy guy that I am) and we're heads-up. The flop comes up a lovely 3-4-9, he bets and I raise. The turn is a ten, putting 3 hearts out. He bets, I raise again, and he calls. The river is a jack, and he bets yet again...I raise, and he calls with Q8o for the runner-runner straight. In all fairness, he had the 8h so he picked up a mighty flush draw AND a gutshot on the turn...but it still really sucked.

Around the same time, I limp with JTo on the button after two limpers and the flop comes a delicious A-K-Q. I raise a bet and a call, and the turn brings another ace. Guy bets and gets called again, I raise, they both call, and the river...is a queen. Christ in heaven! A bet and a raise to me, I obviously fold, and they split with their shitty aces that both hit runner-runner boats. Next, I raise AK, get one cold-caller and the flop comes K-6-6 rainbow. I lose a decent bit on this one since he cold-called with Q6s.

After that, I started really overplaying some hands to dig myself in deeper and deeper, along with a couple more AQ/AJ hands that hit top pair and lost. Sadly, I fell victim to tilt and was down about $220 when I finally decided it was time for a smoke to calm me down a bit. Fortunately, when I got back in the cards turned a bit better and I got back to playing my A-game, so I was happy to finish only about 40 down. Frustrating day, but at least I averted complete catastrophe.

Anyway, as I said, I'll be gone for a few days...so, I'll see ya'll sunday night!

Well, this past week really wasn't much of a week at all. Due to work and a 4-day visit to the parents, I managed to book only slightly more than 6 hours, lol!

Hourly rate...$49.60/hour

At least the rate was good, but 6 hours ain't really much to go on, now is it? This week should be a bit better, and I hope to at least reach the 20 hour mark. My bankroll's about 100 less than it was last week, but I'm also on the verge of clearing a $100 reload bonus on empire, so that'll balance out. Now that my parental obligations have been fulfilled for a spell, it's really time to give this bankroll a boost.

Guess I'd better start that now!

Good to hear things have been going well for ya, even though you have crawled back to the clawing desperation of your soul (and biker-penis)-sucking job at the gas station a miserable failure and a broken shadow of a man. I'm proud of you!

On the other hand, if you're enjoying things AND adding a steady bit of income each week, well, it can't be that bad can it? Sounds like a sensible move, really. Depending on how 2006 goes, I might try to do a similar thing and go part-time at work. I think it's a great way to bridge the gap between a regular job and gambling for a living without having to make a full jump.

I should throw in a jibe or two about your bizarre and barely legal sexual preferences but, hey, I think I'll defer that to someone who desperately needs the "degenerate points", such as MVP or Mecos.

And you need to start coming on Yahoo again because I've had a couple of bad beats in the last fortnight and no-one to endlessly whine to.
