Hi all,
Like my title says, this is more of a re-introduction. I haven't posted here for a few months and I've decided that it's about time I got back on track and began posting again.
I'm a 23 year old Maths teacher from Derbyshire, UK. I've been playing poker seriously for a couple of years now. I started out playing limit hold 'em at the Crypto sites on the 6-max tables. I was up and down for a while and then someone recommended WLLHE by Lee Jones which I bought and absorbed. After reading the book, I began playing the 10 seater tables and did pretty well. A few months later I started recording my results in a spreadsheet (provided by Monk - thanks Monk!). My bankroll grew to a good size, but I never moved up in limits because there weren't many/any full ring games available at the Crypto sites at limits above 1/2.
Last October I began playing PLO at Crypto, mainly due to conversations with Monk as he had started to play them. When I started out on the tables I received A LOT of help from Monk about hands, often while I was playing them, which I am extremely grateful for. I improved very quickly at PLO thanks to him, and won good money straight away.
I still play PLO as my main game, although I have hit a little bit of a rut in the last few months. I had a losing month in June, won that money back in July, but have had a poor month again this month (slightly down). I don't feel like I'm playing particularly badly, or different from how I ever played, but obviously something is going wrong which I need to sort out.
Anyway, I'll be bugging you soon with hands that I think I've played badly!
Cheers,
Martin
