Just a silly fun hand - nothing to learn here

Postby k3nt » Thu Jan 06, 2005 10:37 pm

I had just sat down one hand before, posting a blind out of position, and folding it. This was the 2nd hand of my day.

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.02 BB (10 handed)

MP2 ($8.77)
Hero ($1.98)
CO ($1.90)
Button ($2.74)
SB ($1.95)
BB ($1.84)
UTG ($1.98)
UTG+1 ($4.39)
UTG+2 ($.36)
MP1 ($2.55)

Preflop: Hero is MP3 with [4s] [5s].

UTG+1 calls $0.02, UTG+2 calls $0.02, MP1 folds, MP2 calls $0.02,

Should I call? Nahh. Oh, what the hell, everybody else is calling, let's take a look at a flop.

Hero calls $0.02, CO folds, Button calls $0.02, SB folds, BB checks.

Flop: ($0.13) [6s], [8s], [5d] (7 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $0.10, UTG+2 calls $0.10, MP2 folds, Hero calls $0.10, Button calls $0.10, BB calls $0.10, bluf calls $0.10.

Wow, that's a nice flop for my crappy starting hand. A pair and a gutshot to the straight and even the (gulp) straight flush!

Turn: ($0.73) [7s] (6 players)

Oh, baby, there it is!! I hope I can get some action!

BB checks, UTG checks, UTG+1 bets $1, UTG+2 calls $0.24 (All-In),

OK, that wasn't hard. :)

Hero goes all-in for $1.86, Button goes all-in for $2.62., BB calls $1.72 (All-In), UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $2.62

River: Kd (5 players, 4 all-in)

Showdown:

BB has [4c][2c] - straight, 8 high
UTG+1 has [As][Ad] - pair of aces [had the nut flush draw on the turn - not a bad call --> but of course a TERRIBLE limp preflop & weak bet on the flop]
UTG+2 has [Ks][2s] - flush, king high
Button has [6c][9c] - straight, 9 high
Hero has [4s][5s] - straight flush, 8 high

Hand Summary:

No rake is taken for this hand.
Hero wins the main pot $1.95 with straight flush, eight high.
Hero wins side pot #1 $5.92 with straight flush, eight high.
Hero wins side pot #2 $.42 with straight flush, eight high.
Button wins side pot #3 $1.52 with straight, nine high.

Not often you get to more than quadruple up in a hand. Yay again for micro-limits! :)
