Let me know too
that goes for $200s and 400s also...
Anyhow, my main criterion for sitting at a table is that it has an average pot of at least 30 big blinds. If a table drops below this level for any extended period of time I leave. Given a large number of tables to choose from, I tend to pick the ones with the best average pots, and jump between tables quite a lot when they tighten up. I'll stay on an apparently tight or strong table if there's one or two opponents in particular who are poor (especially in the case of a bad maniac with a big stack, or a loose-passive fish or two with a short stack who seems ripe to call it off with any four).
At higher levels or in tighter games, you might be a little less selective in terms of how high the average pot needs to be; the opposite goes for lower-level tables. You could easily find a large number of 25 PLO games with $10 average pots (i.e. 40% of a full stack, rather than 30% in the case of a 30 BBs average pot) so I'd use that as the ideal cut-off for these games.
In truth, as long as you're not sitting in a rock garden you should be OK. Table selection and being able to move between tables is a useful skill to have in online poker, as it allows you to make the best advantage of the money that's out there, which is a very different skill to any you need to play live poker. That said, I think you can be TOO uptight about table selection and you'll in fact be doing yourself harm (in terms of your ability to concentrate on the game itself) if you're hopping between tables every 5 minutes. Just be selective and use common sense.
