I am going to try out the buildmybankroll. com site out to try and get to $1000 from $100 and I'll be posting my progress here if anyone is interested.

Day 1

Well, I came home tonight and started my project. I started with the Gaming Club playing $.50/$1 limit. Let me tell you this game is LOOSE. Maybe I am just not used to that limit (I normally play $2/4 or $3/6). There was some good play and a lot of bad play eg. I saw a $12 pot won by a Queen-high, and the guy with the Q high bet and got called on the river. Unfortunately I only made $8. I was playing one 6max, and 1 full table. I was up about $35 but I started running not so good (QQ cracked by a guy raising me on the turn with just King-high spiked his King, set of 5's beat by a set of 7's, etc) Overall I am happy I won some and I played pretty well but got a little loose when I started losing. Not sure how many BRP's I gathered, as they don't update in real time.

Day 1: Start--$100
End--$108.56

played for about 2 hours.

Day 2

At the Gaming club you accumulate BRP's (like the frequent player points at Stars). For every 300 BRP's you accumulate (3 per raked hand) $20 of the sign up bonus is released to you, but there are limits of how many you can accumulate at the lower levels:

LEVEL/ BRP per hand/ Max BRP per level/
$0.25/$0.50 1 300
$0.50/$1.00 3 400
$1.00/$2.00 3 800
I cleared the 400 at $.50/1 so I have $20 in bonus $ coming but it hasn't been credited yet. One problem is that your total BRP's are not calculated in real time, so you have to wait until the next day to see where you are at.

I played $1/2 today and found the play to be about the same, but a little tighter than the $.50/1 tables. There was also some trapping which wasn't present in my play at the lower level. Against these people you WILL win if you play good hands and don't do anything fancy. ABC poker gets the $ at these tables.

Start: $100

End of Day 1: $108.56
End of Day 2: $164.55

Played about 3 hours. Total does not include $20 in bonus that has been cleared, as it has not been credited to my account yet.

Jason
They take a long time to credit the account for some reason. I think the delay is anywhere from 4-8 hours. I unlocked the entire bonus playing .50/1.00 NL. Of course...I was playing 4 tables at a time and 6-8 hours today...so it was very fast :)

I'ts a great bonus deal though...so enjoy the money!

Played for 2 hours tonight at Gaming club, 1full table of $1/2, and a 6 max $2/4 also. I realize I was playing above my roll, but the game was too juicy to pass up. The play is incredibly poor, and luckily I caught a few hands early so I wasnt playing with scared money. Had one maniac directly to my left who would bet EVERY TIME he was checked to, and I had another guy 2 to my right that bluffed WAY too much. One hand he raised Pre-flop and bet the whole way only to show down 54o--no piece of the board. This game was great.

The site awarded me my first 2 $20 bonus chunks so I am flying high right now. It is the end of Day 2 and my totals are as follows:

Start of Project: $100

Session 2 Day 2: Start--$164.55
Bonus--$40.00
End--$450.05

Played for 2 hours. Great session.

You only get 1 BRP per raked hand at the .25/.50 level, but you get 3 BRP's at the .5/1 level and up per raked hand. You need 300 BRP's to clear the $20 of bonus so that is why it will clear faster at the .5/1 level.
