That said, I think at the river you have a case of every-hand-that-calls-you-beats-you. It's tempting to bet it with the other guy's two checks looking so weak, but you gotta resist that temptation.

You said you were done with the hand, and then ten seconds later you're betting. I do that all the time. Definite leak. Yuck.

I don't think the river is a case where every hand that calls you, beats you. It is possible that he hit a pair of tens like with AT or has JJ or 99 and will call a moderate bet. However, in position, I often seem to error on the side of caution and check behind him because some people do like to get clever and try to check raise the river. As soon as he raises, you know you are beaten. So unless I knew this guy was someone that would pay off with a worse hand, i would have just checked behind him and be happy I won a pot with an overcard on the flop and a caller. In this case, it would have saved you $10.

You definitely want to check here and make him look like a prat with his KT . I'd agree that you're most likely ahead, but you might as well show down. Unless he's loose it's hard for him to call a bet unless he's ahead here. Although i think you're ahead more often than not, you don't want to reopen the betting to a slowplay or a bluff, and in most cases if you bet you gain no value anyhow as he'll likely muck. Also, I think there is some value in making him showdown here to see what he called on the flop.
