I'm pleased to announce the release of PokerAce Heads Up Display (PA Hud for short) version 0.27.

PokerAce Hud is a companion application for the PokerTracker online poker hand history tracking application. PA Hud reads the statistics from PokerTracker and places them directly on the poker client window as you play.

Prima Support
Support for Prima isn't perfect yet. Currently, you cannot use the mini view and you must use the default sitting (don't use the option to have your seat moved elsewhere). Hopefully these will accounted for in the next version. Also, the animation in Prima causes the stats to flicker. It's not incredibly bad, but some may find it annoying.

PokerStars Support
Due to popular demand, support for the Instant Hand History window has been added back into this version. You now have the option to use the Instant Hand History window (allows for stats on observed tables), or the Hand History files PokerStars writes to disk (allows access to the Instant Hand History window).

Aggression Frequency
The new Aggression Frequency stats have been added as an attempt to better define a player's aggression. This stat uses the formula:

(times_bet + times_raised) / (times_bet + times_raised + times_called + times_folded)

This is a trial stat and may change in future releases. Please use this stat and offer improvements and suggestions if you have any.


If you have a question or problem, please read the documentation included with PA Hud before posting or emailing. Chances are good that your issue is addressed by it.

A lot of the bugs that have been brought to my attention since the last release have been fixed. So if you encounter a bug in this version that you were getting in an older version, please let me know.

I'm really intrigued by this new stat, as a stat junkie. I calculated mine (and I'm absurdly aggressive compared to most--or at least I think so...)

Flop: 1.40 (Raise: 7.50%, Bet: 41.09%, Call: 20.76%, Fold: 13.96%)
Turn: 1.35 (Raise: 4.71%, Bet: 42.38%, Call: 18.15%, Fold: 16.65%)
River: 1.79 (Raise: 5.21%, Bet: 48.29%, Call: 14.93%, Fold: 15.01%)

I'd really like to see other players' stats here to examine what kind of range to expect.

LOVE the prima support (esp now PT datamines there)

I like the new stats (I already had cc pre-flop and fold to flop bet up, now I've added check-raise on flop, raise on flop and total aggression frequency). I will let you know how they work out.

BTW can I put in a request for table average aggression frequency - great for finding those passive tables that a sLAG like me can run over

LOL that would be the highest definition one Dell do - WUXGA - 1920x1200 pixel 17.4" widescreen on my Inspiron 9300 laptop

(same one Ice uses - and like his, paid for out of poker winnings naturally )

Actually if you are at all serious about multi-tabling but are on a budget, I would thoroughly recommend the Dell WUXGA screen on their 15.4" laptop (the Inspiron 6000)

Probably not much more expensive than just buying a 20" monitor for your desktop (I don't think any desktop monitors under 20" have the necessary defn)

I'm an idiot. I totally missed the idea of the Aggression Frequency.

Flop: Raise+Bet= 48.59%, Raise+Bet+Call+Fold= 83.31% (58.3%)
Turn: Raise+Bet= 47.09%, Raise+Bet+Call+Fold= 81.89% (57.5%)
River: Raise+Bet= 53.50%, Raise+Bet+Call+Fold= 83.44% (64.1%)

Those are my numbers....

If you've experienced problems in the past, please download this version to see if your problem has been fixed, even if it's not mentioned in the list above. Sometimes I fix bugs and forget to mark them on the list. Let me know if your problem still exists in this version. I'm doing my best to get all the bugs squashed as soon as I can.
