Two really unlucky hands from today. First 1 questionable, but I though pot odds leaned more towards a call. Even though I had to beat 2 players I knew I had the caller beat and he was just adding money to the pot. Was I right? 2nd hand I just had to post because it was such a joke.

I did not call right away here. The original all-in bet had me worried. I think I would have been re-raised with Pocket J's or better. Pocket 9's are a possibility, but so is AJ suited. In the end it is a 50/50 proposition between the 2 hands I think and I am getting 3 to 1 to call here. The call was from an EXTREMELY LOOSE and BAD player who calls any bet when he has at least 1 high card and any post flop bets when he has at least a pair. The only hand I am worried about from him is J9. After this thought process is complete I hit the call button.

Not even SOOTED. I am a 94% favorite before the flop. A 94% favorite!!!

MT... you HAVE to push that flop for several reasons... Lets look at the possibilities that can come from calling an allin and a call w/ an overpair...

Caller, who you said is a total jackass, either had a higher PP (he DID raise PF), and you're basically dead... Sucks that you lose here, but that crap happens, and just play another...

Pusher has a better hand, but caller is a total jackass like you said (and he proved by calling the allin)... Pusher's gonna win a nice pot, but you pushing the flop, there's almost NO WAY that the origional caller doesn't call your flop raise for 400 more... That way, even if the origional raiser either has a better hand, or sucks out (like he did), you have a better chance of competing in the MTT when you have 800+ chips instead of 400...

Pusher AND caller have worse hands, you win all the chips, and sail on to the final table..

While playing a MTT w/ 400 chips will still give you a chance to win, I think especially cause you have the caller as such a bad player, a push is necessary, as you almost certainly have one or both of those guys beaten...
